Sri Ganapathi Sthothram – Lyrics and meanings

|| Jai Sriman Narayana ||

I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Ganapathi who is attired in majestic white clothes, he has the luster of full moon, he has four hands, he is ever pleasing, I shall earnestly pray to remove all the obstacles in our lives. I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Ganesha, who is worshiped by Lord Bhrama and deities before the initiation of any performance, and pays initial offerings to him.  I shall meditate upon Lord Ekadhantha who is the cause for the immense delight of Goddess Sri Parvathi; he is the cause to blossom the lotus like face of Goddess Sri Parvathi, he has the face resemblance to elephant, he is the provider of abundance of boons to his ardent devotees,  Oh! Vigneshwara, I shall prostrate before the supreme Lord who is fond of sweet pudding as offerings, I shall earnestly pray for your eternal presence to remove all kinds’ obstacles in our lives.  I shall prostrate before the lotus feet of Lord Vigneshwara who is always worshiped and surrounded by the Ganas, consumes the fruits of Kapitha and Jamboo, he is the son of Goddess Uma and he is the destroyer of sorrows and perils.
