Sri Mukunda Mukthavali 21 – 34 – Lyrics and meanings

I shall meditate upon Lord Mukunda who is Devakinandhana/son of Devaki, he has superior brilliance of Adithya, he is smeared in highly fragrant sandal paste on his broad chest, he finds immense pleasure in the amorous sport with the young maidens of Vraja and flipping their garments.  I shall earnestly pray to Devakinandhan to protect us.  I shall meditate upon Lord Mukunda who is the darling of young maidens of Vraja, he guides us to cross the ocean of Samsara effortlessly, he takes good care of cows, he carries divine flute, he is enthusiastic with his childhood pranks, he is smeared in fragrant musk, and he is the enemy of demons.  I shall always prostrate before supreme Lord Mukunda who carries curd rice in one hand, his body is smeared in the pollen of flowers, he is my safe haven, he has lotus feet, he is the slayer of demon Arishta, he lures the heart of young maidens of Vraja.  I shall meditate upon Lord Mukunda, who is the essence of various incarnations, he is charismatic, he is passionate, his face has the luster of full moon, he carries Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi on his chest, his fame is eternal, he carries lotus flower in his hands.  I shall meditate upon Lord Mukunda who is the enemy of Kamsa, he destroys the wicked people, he plays melodious music/Pancharaga on his flute, he dwells in the hearts of Yogis, he merrily explores through the sacred land of Vrja.  I shall meditate upon Lord Mukunda, who entice the young maidens of Vraja and enthusiastically engages in the childhood pranks with them, in this way he has stolen the hearts of them, he finds immense joy in flipping their clothes and safely settles on the branches of Kadamba tree, he is decked in feathers of peacock, I shall earnestly pray to Lord Mukunda to protect us. I shall meditate upon the lotus feet of supreme Lord Hari who is the safe haven for his passionate devotees; I shall take surrender at his lotus feet which is attractive with the lustrous nails.   I shall meditate upon Lord Hari, who is attired in majestic clothes, he is the commander of cow herds who merrily explore on the river bank, he is the store house of virtues, and he has the complexion of dark clouds.  I shall pray to Lord Hari to bless us with his eternal presence in our hearts.  I shall meditate upon Lord Krishna who split open the Marutha tree as a part of childhood prank, his glorious myths are the source of happiness to everyone, he destroys the wicked with the slightest movement of his eyes, he destroyed the pride of Kaliya, I shall earnestly pray to Lord Krishna to protect us.  Oh! Yasodhathanaya/son of Yasodha, who is prominent with his glorious myths and their by caught the attention of everyone, he is attired in majestic yellow clothes, kindly fulfill all our desires.  I shall meditate upon Lord Mukunda who is decked in feathers of peacock on his curly hair locks, his forehead has the luster superior to full moon, and sheen of his beautiful line of teeth is superior to the bud of jasmine flowers, Oh! Mortals, meditate upon that glorious form of Lord Mukunda.  I shall meditate upon Lord Mukunda who is the protector of cows, he destroyed the fears and perils of deities, and he finds immense joy in playing melodious music on his flute, Oh! Vanamali kindly protect us.  I shall meditate upon Lord Mukunda, who provided immense pleasure to the cowherds with his various performance, he is fond of playing music on flute, he destroyed the wicked people,  he is the darling of young maidens of Vraja, he is eternal bliss and he has various incarnations, he entice the whole Universe, I shall earnestly pray to Lord Mukunda to provide us sincere devotion.  I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Krishna, who has mark of kisses by the young maidens of Vraja that lingering on his beautiful lips and he merrily engages in amorous sport with them, in that way he took them to the state of ecstasy. He has the complexion of dark clouds, he is charismatic, decked on Vanamala/flowers from wood and he has the name ‘Krishna’.  I shall earnestly pray to Lord Krishna to protect us.
