I shall surrender to the lotus feet of Goddess Sri Shyamala/Mathangi who is the daughter of Sage Mathanga, she has sweet melodious voice, she holds the divine musical instrument Veena close to her bosom, she has long and beautiful curly hair locks, she dwells in the hermitage made of sacred Kushagrass, she is not attainable to the wicked people, she has attractive and slow gait, she dwells in the heart of Lord Shiva.  I shall prostrate before supreme Goddess Shyamala who has the complexion of blue lily, she is the commander of the Universe, her beautiful line of teeth has the luster of jasmine flower buds, and her large high raised bosom is smeared in rich fragrant vermilion.  I shall meditate upon Goddess Shyamala who holds the parrot that locked up in the sacred Omkara, she enthusiastically explores through the pleasure garden of Upanishad, she takes immense joy as female peafowl in the woods of Agama Shasthra, she is Goddess Gauri who personified as honorable woman.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Shyamala who has long beautiful eyes which is brimming with compassion, she is personified as Preceptor, she carries Veena close to her left bosom, she is the provider of various boons to her devotees, and she is the symbol of music.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Shyamala who has blue complexion and lustrous, she is the symbol of beauty, bliss, wealth and happiness, she has ever lasting youth, she is the ocean of mercy, and she has the attractive eyes that have the resemblance to water current.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Shyamala, who has beautiful smile on her face, she takes immense pleasure in playing melodious music in Veena with her attractive fingers, and her face reveals various emotions according to the tune of music from Veena, Oh! Devi , kindly bless us with eternal happiness.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Shyama who lured the heart of Lord Shiva, she represents the seven notes in music [ Sa, Ri, Ga, Ma, Pa, Da, Ni], her beautiful fingers are playing through the strings of Veena, she is serene, she is melodious and she has large high raised bosom.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Mathangi who takes immense pleasure in the music of Veena by constantly nodding her head according to the tunes, her attractive earrings keeps dangling to and fro touching her beautiful hair on the back of neck.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Mathangi  who is the daughter of Sage Mathanga, she is the symbol of mercy, she takes immense pleasure in the music of Veena resembles to honey bee hurries for nectar, she is the symbol of all art forms.  I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri Mathangi who she has the luster of blue lily, I shall prostrate before Goddess Siddha Mathangi, she has ever lasting youth, she resembles to honey bee that takes immense joy in the music, she has attractive limbs, she is the mother of all living beings and she represents auspicious music.


Whoever reads or listens to the glorious verses of Shyamala Navarathnamala/garland of nine gems which is an ornament of Goddess Sri Mathangi, with utmost faith and devotion would remain prominent in speech and all languages.
