Sri Gita Govinda Mahakavyam - Sri Jayadeva Ashtapadi – 21 - Lyrics and meanings

|| Jai Sriman Narayana ||

Radharani who was accompanied by closest companion witnessed Hari standing in front of the creeper home, he is the decked in precious pearl garland and various golden ornaments, golden anklets, armlets that spread intense luster, and she urged Radharani to move forward. “ Oh! Radhe, move forward to get closer to Madhava and enjoy your pastime with Madhava in the marvelous creeper home arranged for the amours sport, your lovely smiling face reveals the intensity of the amorous sport.  Oh! Radhe, move forward to get closer to Madhava, the string of pearls decorated on your large and high raised bosom is quivering, find pleasure in the bed of flowers of  Ashokadhala/petals of Ashoka flowers.  Oh! Radhe, move forward to get closer to Madhava, and take great pleasure in the cool and gentle breeze of sandalwoods, and passionately sing a melodious song.  Oh! Radhe, move forward to get close to Madhava and take great pleasure in the house arranged with fresh alluring flowers, and the flower-like charming body of Madhava.  Oh! Radhe, move forward to get close to Madhava, and your soft and supple red lips resemble fruits of pomegranate are soaked in the nectar that reveals beautiful lines of your teeth.  Oh! Radhe, find great pleasure in the creeper home constructed with freshly sprouted creepers densely covered with the leaves, have blissful hours of amorous sport with the heaviness of your high and large bosom.  Oh! Radhe, find great pleasure in the creeper home where reverberating noises of the swarm of honey bees that are gone wild after consuming honey in large quantities, take pleasure in the association of Madhava who is besieged with the cupid arrows of Manmatha.”  The above are the glorious verses composed by Kaviraja Sri Jayadeva who is bestowed with the delightful association of Padmavathi. “ Oh! Radhe, he is immersed in your thoughts for a long time, he is completely exhausted with the cupid arrows of Kandharpa, and he is longing to have the nectar from your lips, Oh! Lakshmi, why are you so afraid? Embrace the loveliest moments and decorate your limbs, with the beautiful movements of bow-like eyebrows that serve the lotus feet of Hari.”
