Sri Krishnaleela Tharangini by Sri Narayana Theertha – Prathama Sarga: || Katha Prarambha: || - Lyrics and meanings

|| Jai Sriman Narayana ||

I shall prostrate before Lord Sriman Narayana who is personified as Madhava/consort of Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi, he is Nagendhrashayana who reclines on the serpent Anantha who is the King of snakes, augments the happiness of the Universe, Lord Bhrama originated from his navel, he dwells in the milky ocean, he has various incarnations as man, woman and neither of them, he is surrounded by Maharishi Narada and numerous Rishis and sages, he symbolizes bliss and wealth, he symbolizes endless virtues, he is the essences of Veda and  limbs of Vedanga, he eradicates fears and sorrows, he is omnipresent, pure and marvelous, he dwells in the lotus flower like hearts of passionate devotees, his  hands carries flowers of lotus, conch, kaumodhaki/mace and Sharngam/bow, his feet has the luster of lotus flower, he is decked in magnificent Kausthubha and various alluring garlands that spreads intense luster, he is mounted on celestial vehicle Pakshiraja/Garuda, he is unblemished and free from illnesses, he is the cause of illusion, his charisma excels the beauty of  thousands of millions of Kandharpa/Lord Manmatha, he does not has any specific name, he is embodied as Earth, he has Soma/moon and Surya/son as eyes, he is profound in singing Sama Veda, he is Lord of Universe, he is charismatic as Kamadheva, he is the conqueror of enemies, he is the essence of Veda and he is eternal bliss, he is matchless cowherd who personified in the sacred land of Gokula and found immense pleasure in the consumption of butter, he has eyes resembles to lotus flower, he is Vasudeva who is Parijatha to supreme ascetics, he is too compassionate, he is too compassionate to his passionate devotees, he is supreme Lord and protector of Sri Narayanatheertha who  takes refuge at his lotus feet.

Lord Jagannatha after listening to the pleas of Sura, repeatedly greeted them with two hands, and spoke to them promisingly, further revealed his intention to take birth in the clan of Yadhu on Earth and carry out favorable deeds for the welfare of Suras.   All the deities assembled were pleased, with folded hands after listening to the nectar like words of Lord Narayana, he slowly approached the deities like the moon light with supreme luster out of the darkness of grief and desire, Lord Bhrama and deities with folded palm expressed their joy.  The first child of the divine couple Devaki and Vasudeva was born, Kamsa remembered the eight child of the couple is going to be his enemy so decided not to hurt the first child, at that moment Maharashi Narada who is familiar with omen appeared before Kamsa, and prompted him to kill all the children of the couple.
