Sri Ganesha Sthuthi by Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi – Lyrics and meanings

Goddess Sri Shakthi and Lord Shiva speaks “I shall prostrate before Gananatha who is the commander of Ganas and he is the Lord of Ganas as well, he is fond of passionate devotion, he is Lord of Lords, he is the provider of happiness and welfare to his ardent devotees, he is eternal bliss, heis the provider of Siddhi as well as Buddhi, he is Dundiraja who is adorned Shesha as jewel on his navel, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Ganesha who is the safest haven as well as provider of abundance of boons, his two hands as in Abhaya/refuge and Varadha/boons posture respectively, he is wielded in the powerful weapon Parashu, I shall prostrate before Lord Ganesha who  carries Angusham in hand and Shesha on navel, he is void of illnesses, he is all pervading,  he is worshiped by all, I shall prostrate before Lord Ganesha who   represents Saguna/with properties as well as Nirguna/without properties, he represents absolute Bhramam, he imparts the knowledge of absolute Bhramam, he represents absolute Bhramam, I shall prostrate before Gajanana who is elephant faced, I shall prostrate before Lord Ganesha who receives initial oblation, he is supreme Lord, he is Jyeshtaraja, I shall prostrate before Lord Ganesha who is father as well as mother to Universe and its living beings, he is omnipresent, he is Heramba, I shall prostrate before Lord Ganesha who is the Lord of distressed people, he is Vignesha who eradicates obstacles, he can impose impediments and he eradicates the obstacles of his worshiper, I shall prostrate before Lord Ganesha who is Lambodhara who has large belly, he is Yogeesha who is the provider of serenity, how shall we eulogize that Yogaroopa who eradicates all the impediments? We shall continuously prostrate before you in order to please you.”


Sri Ganesha speaks “whoever recites or listens to the above verses constructed by both of you, with utmost faith and devotion would be blessed with pure devotion, it is highly propitious and provides all the auspiciousness, it provides Bhukthi as well Mukthi/pleasure and liberation from repeated births, Puthra and Pauthradikam/ virtuous children and grandchildren, Dhanam and Dhanyam/wealth and abundance of grains to worshiper.”
