to worshiper, Oh! Vallabha/dearest darling, kindly narrate the glorious eight
verses praising the splendor of Goddess Bhuvaneshvari .”

Shiva speaks “Oh! Devi, listen to me carefully, Sri Bhuvaneshvari Ashtakam is
highly propitious hymn, which is capable to bring all the auspiciousness to
the three worlds, I shall reverentially prostrate before supreme Goddess Sri
Bhuvaneshvari, who is the essence of Universe and its living beings, she is
dearest darling of Lord Bhava, she is the provider of Bhukthi/wealth and
prosperity and Mukthi/liberation from repeated births, she is most pleasing and
has great splendor, she symbolizes auspiciousness, she is Swaha and Swadha as
well, she is Yajja and commander of Yajja as well, she is the protector of
Universe and its living beings, she eradicates lethargy, laziness,exhaustion in
worshiper, she is all pervading, she is omnipotent, she is the core spirit of
Universe and its living being, she is most venerable, she is supreme preceptor,
she symbolizes supreme wisdom and knowledge , she imparts knowledge and wisdom, she is beyond human
intellect, she symbolizes Shiva/auspiciousness, she symbolizes Shiva and Vishnu
as well, she is imperishable, she symbolizes cause and effect, she has
personified as Lakshmi , she has the appearance of fire, she represents Soma, Ravi, Kala, and
Maruthganas, she is the purifier of souls, she has personified as Gayathri,
Savithri, Mahamaya and most beloved darling of Hari, she is Parashakthi who has
personified as supreme preceptor, she represents Time and she is beyond Time,
she is the commander and protector of Universe and its living beings, she
symbolizes action and cause as well, she is extremely compassionate. Oh! Varanane/lovely faced one, the above are
the glorious verses praising the splendor of Goddess Sri Bhuvaneshvari, whoever
recites or listens to these marvelous verses during the hours of dawn, noon and
dusk, with intense faith and devotion would attain all kinds of siddhis,
wealth, prosperity, and great admiration, worshiper would be relieved from the
troubles of evil spirits/Bhootha, Pretha, Pishacha, and attain supreme bliss
with the grace of Goddess Bhuvaneshvari, Oh! Varanane, there are various sacred
hymns praising the splendor of Goddess Bhuvaneshvari, but this particular
verses described above are considered as highly auspicious, whoever reads or
listens to it would attain the eternal presence of Goddess Sri Bhuvaneshvari.”
