Sri Valli Ashtoththarashathanama Sthothram – Lyrics and meanings

I shall meditate upon Goddess Valli who has the complexion of dark clouds, she is seated on the lotus flower, she is adorned in magnificent ear ornament which spread intense luster, she has long beautiful hands, she is adorned in marvelous crown,her large raised bosom is covered in magnificent attire, she is most beautiful, she holds lotus flower, she is devoted to Sharavana who was born in reeds, she is adorned in roasary beads, her face has the luster of coral. I shall prostrate before Goddess Valli who has the complexion of dark clouds, she is adorned in various ornaments all over the body, she is adorned in magnificent yellow silk garment, she holds lotus flower, she is smeared in highly fragrant musk, she has personified as Bhrami, and  Karali, she has sparkling eyes resembles to fire, she is adorned in marvelous earrings, she is the inseparable companion of daughter of Mahendhra, she symbolizes auspiciousness, she is the provider of auspiciousness good fortune, she has long and beautiful hands, she is Moolaprakrithi, she represents opulence, she is Maheshvari, she has large and high raised bosom, she is attired in marvelous garments, she is adorned in various ornaments, she symbolizes virtues, she is adorned in rosaray beads, she has personified as Vaishnavi, she lures the heart of worshiper, she has mesmerizing features, she can be alarming, she symbolizes sacred syllables, she is adorned in coral decorated ornaments, she symbolizes intellect, she has personified as Chamunda, Chandika, and wife of skandha/ Skandhabarya, she is beloved of Skandha, she has pleasing disposition, she has beautiful eyes, she is the provider of all kinds of richness and wealth, auspiciousness, Ashtasiddhis, and Ashtaishvarya, she is Mahamaya, she symbolizes Yanthra, Manthra and Thanthric rites, she symbolizes Mahakalpa, she has great effulgence, she is Parameshtin/illustrious, she is Guhadevatha who is the consort of Guha,  she is adorned in crescent moon, she is Bhramani, she has colossal form, she has beautiful two eyes and two arms, she is worshiped by Siddhas, she symbolizes sacred syllables, and terminology, she eradicates darkness of ignorance,  she fulfills all the desires of the worshiper, she symbolizes Kingdom and provider of Kingdom, she represents Sadhyojatha, and Sudhasagara/ocean of nectar, she symbolizes wealth and possessions and she provides the same to worshiper, she is adorned in fresh alluring flowers from the woods, she resides in the middle of ocean of nectar, she is adorned in golden majestic clothes, she is adorned in ornaments of precious yellow metal, she resides in the woods, she is fond of flowers of Mallika, she has the speed of mind, she has personified as Mahalakshmi,   and Mahadevi, she is the source of Universe and its living beings, she is the commander of Universe, she is the commander of Suras, she is stunningly gorgeous, she is attired in majestic garment, she is Varalakshmi who showers abundance of boons, she is valorous, she has personified as Saraswathi, Kumari, Bhadhrakali, and Durga who eradicates miseries and perils of the worshiper, she has personified as Indhrani, she witnesses the happenings in the Universe, she does not require any witness, she is watchful always, she is primeval deity, she symbolizes piousness, she is most venerable, she is flawless, she takes immense pleasure in the richness,  she has great splendor, she faces in all directions, she is Parashakthi who is highly devoted, she is the source of brilliance, she is Yogini who inspires and imparts the knowledge in Yoga/unison with the supreme soul, she is Binduswaroopini, she eradicates sins of the worshiper, she is Eshvari who witnesses all the happenings in the world, she is worshiped with sacred chants, she resides on the lotus flower, her eyes has the resemblance to lotus flower petals, she symbolizes Thriguna, she resides in the Shatkona, she is the protector of desolate and distressed who are  surrendered at her lotus feet.
