Sri Surdas Maharaj speaks “ Oh! Vanamali,
Oh! Sri Krishnachandra, you are the all-pervasive Bhramam who resides as a soul in
the Jeeva, you are the knower of all, you are the protector of Jeeva, whenever the
Jeeva gets into trouble, were protected with the mere remembrance of your
sacred names. Oh! Prabho, you have personified as half lion-half man to protect
your child devotee Prahladha, you have kept your promise alive by appearing on
the pillar at the will of your devotee and proved your existence, you have
ripped off the chest of the demon Hiranyakashipu and removed the troubles
hoovered upon Prahlada. Oh! Prabho, the wicked Kauravas humiliated Devi
Dhraupadhi in the large assembly, she cried out remembering your sacred names, was
saved from disgrace. Oh! Prabho, you have protected the cowherds of Vraja from
various dangers, you have elevated Mount Govardhan on your little finger to
protect the people Vraja and cows from the dangerous flood. Oh! Prabho, Oh!
Mukunda, Oh! Dheenanatha, you symbolize supreme bliss and you are the safest asylum
of your devotees.”
