Chapter – 26 - Sur -Vinaya – Pathrika –The various amusements of Lord Krishna
Sri Surdas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Shyamasundara,
how can I describe your endless virtues? Oh! Prabho, you have liberated Kubja/Kubidi
who had three visible hunchs on her body was transformed into a beautiful young
woman at the touch of you. Vidura who was a son of servant maid an ardent
devotee of you achieved your perpetual grace, the penniless Bhramin Sudhama who
was childhood companion visited you with a bundle of puffed rice in ragged
upper clothes, in return, he achieved the wealth and richness of Lord Indra. The
elderly prostitute who bought a parrot from the devotee of Lord Hari, merely listening
to the glorious names sung by the parrot, she has achieved liberation from
worldly existence. Oh! Prabho, you haven’t
accepted the Yajjabhaga/oblations from the fire sacrifices or visited the
hermitage of Rishis, but you have blessed the Rishi/Vipra Pathnis. You have
gracefully accepted the fruits offered by Sabari, even though she had tasted
them all and offered them to Lord. Oh! Prabho, you have affectionately received the
fruits offered by Sabari and liberated her. Oh! Nandhanandhana, you have
performed various amusements in the Braja, you have protected the cowherds and cows
by elevating the Mount Govardhana on your little finger. Oh! Prabho, you have
stolen the butter from the houses of cowherds, got yourself fasten on the
mortal pastel by Devi Yasodha like amusement, and liberated the sons of Kubera
who has assumed the Yamalarjjuna tree at the curse of Maharishi Narada. Oh!
Prabho, you have rushed on your feet to protect Gajendra who was caught on the leg
by a crocodile on the pond, you have abandoned your celestial vehicle Garuda
and rushed to protect your devotee. Oh! Prabho, you have protected the Pandavas
from the flames of Lakshagriha. Oh! Prabho, when did you leave your devotees in
distress? Whenever your devotees were hoovered over by various troubles, you
have rushed to protect them. Oh! Prabho, you have liberated several grave
sinners, why don’t you look at me? Kindly liberate me from the sufferings and
grief of worldly existence.”
