Surdas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, Oh! Sri Hari, kindly bless me with firm
devotion at your lotus feet, whenever I take births in different Yonis and in the
different Yugas. Oh! Prabho, kindly shower your compassionate grace upon me to get
an opportunity to listen to your endless glories, like the Hiran/deer love to
listen to the melodious music. Oh! Prabho, kindly provide me the firm devotion
at your lotus feet, like the Chakthaka bird constantly cries for freshwater
droplets from the Swathi star, that hesitate to drink water even from the
sacred Manasarovar. Oh! Prabho, kindly blesses me that my eyes should yearn to envision
your marvelous appearance, like the Chathaka bird that gets highly enthusiastic
after witnessing the full moon. Oh! Prabho, kindly blesses that my hands should
get the opportunity to worship your idol. Oh! Prabho, kindly bless my intellect
should be freed from the impurities Ahamkara and Mamakara, and always
contemplate upon your magnificent form, thereby achieving pure love and devotion at
your lotus feet. Oh! Prabho, kindly showers intense love at your lotus feet, so
that I sing in praise of your endless glories, and remain in a state of bliss
always. Oh! Prabho kindly provides sincere devotion at your lotus feet by word,
mind, and deed. Oh! Prabho, whoever surrendered at your lotus feet, engaged in
singing the praise of your glories would remain free from the dualities, and consider
happiness and sorrow, heaven and hell are the same, Oh! Prabho, kindly bless me the pure love and devotion at your lotus feet.”
