Chapter – 49 - Sur -Vinaya – Pathrika – The life of
unfortunate Jeeva/humans
Sri Surdas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Mortals, if
the Jeeva does not practice at the lotus feet of LordSri Hari, after achieving the
rarest birth as a human, the soul would become Pretha/spirit/ghost of impure
mind drenched in lust, desire, anger, ego, jealousy, and pride, and wander all over
the Earth seeking meals to wave off hunger. They do not speak auspicious words,
they always humiliate others by words, mind, and deed. These people won’t take
pleasure in the association of noble souls, Santh, Mahathma, or do not perform
any noble deeds, instead, they engage in various grave sins. These wicked-natured people amass wealth through unscrupulous means and hide it somewhere,
finally, this wealth would go either waste or remain unusable. The purpose of earning
wealth in moral ways is to utilize it for the Dharmic deed/righteous deeds, performing
charity to Santh Mahatma noble souls, serving preceptors, Bhramins, and Lord
Sri Hari and his devotees, construction of well, pond, garden, shelter homes, etc., if the wealth earned in honorable means was utilized for Dharmic deeds, itwould
bring an abundance of pieties to the Jeeva and his entire clan. If the wealth is amassed in immoral ways, that were not utilized for Dharmic purposes, would bring
bad luck to the person, and his entire clan would doom to destruction. These
wicked people do not take interest in singing in praise of the glories of the Supreme
Lord or listening to the glorious legend of Lord Sri Hari, they constantly engage
in various sins, and hurt people surrounded by them. Finally, these people and
their families meet a terrible end, and hurl themselves to hellish torture.”
