Sri Rama Dhvadhasha Namasthothram is one of the most sacred hymns composed by Eshwara Rishi, it has Anushtup as Chandhass/meter and Lord Sri Ramachandhra as presiding deity and it is recited to please Lord Ramachandhra.


The sacred twelve names begins with Sridhara who carries Goddess Sri/Mahalakshmi on his chest as Prathama/first, Dhvitheeya/second is Raghunayaka/who born in the illustrious clan of Raghu, Thritheeyam/third is Ramachandhra/who has the luster of moon,  Chathurtham/fourth is Ravananthaka/who is the slayer of demon Ravana, Panchamam/fifth is Lokapoojya/he is worshiped by the whole Universe and its living beings, Shashtamam/sixth is Janakipathi/who is the consort of Goddess Janaki/daughter of Janaka, Sapthamam/seventh is Vasudeva/who is a great illusionist, Ashtamam/eighth is Sri Rama/consort of  Goddess Sri, Navamam/ninth is Jaladhashyamam/he has the complexion of dark clouds, Dhashamam/tenth is Lakshmanagraja/who is always in the association of his younger brother Lakshmana, Ekadhasham/eleventh is Govinda/who is the protector of cows and Dhvadhasham/ twevelth is Sethubandhana/who constructed magnificent bridge across the vast ocean Sethu.


Phalashruthi –


Whoever reads or listens to the sacred hymns of Dhvadhasha Nama with utmost faith and devotion, would get rid of poverty and critical illnesses like leprosy, fears of wood fire, and it eradicates the highest of the sins like Bhramahathya, consumption of intoxicated drinks and Gohathya.  Whoever reads or listens to the sacred verses for seven weeks would be freed from all the perils.  Whoever reads during the hours of eclipse or recites standing on the sacred river or  on the river bank would attain the merit of hundreds of Ashwamedha, eventually reach the abode of Lord Bhrama.
