||Jai Sriman Narayana ||
|| Om Sri Kamakshyai Nama: ||
My
humble salutation to Goddess Sri Kamakshi, I prostrate before Goddess Sri
Kamakshi who has large raised bosom which has the resemblance to the two large peaks
on the forehead of an elephant, she is slightly bend forward due to the
heaviness of her bosom, she has thin waist, she has crimson color complexion, she
is the nectar to the eyes of Lord Parameshwara. I have witnessed the glorious form of Goddess
Sri Kamakshi on the river banks of Kampa in Adi Kanchi, she is decked in
marvelous golden waist belt which is decorated with numerous precious gems, and
she is most compassionate to her passionate devotees. I have
witnessed the magnificent form of Goddess Sri Kamakshi, with the blessings of my preceptor, she is
familiar with the serenity of the river banks of Kampa, she is the daughter of
Mount Himavan, she is the most divine ornament on the lap of Lord Parameshwara. Oh! Devi, Oh! Matha, your glorious youthful
form has won over the heart of Lord Parameshwara who burnt Lord Manmatha into
ashes. She has incarnated as hunter
woman who attired in garment made of leaves, decked in garlands of various
beads and serpents, smeared in black colored paste, holding spear as weapon. Oh! Janani, your splendor is indescribable, she
carries parrot on one hand, she has profound interest in music therefore she is
always surrounded by celestial singers, resides close to Bhairava Mandalam, she
is decked in magnificent ear stud which has the resemblance to conch. My humble salutation to Goddess Sri Kamakshi
who incarnated as Goddess Sri Durga, she is the provider of liberation from the
cycles of birth and death to her worshipper, she has lion as celestial vehicle,
she is a great warrior, she is the delight of Lord Parameshwara, she is the
annihilator of enemies. Oh! Goddess Sri
Kamakshi, you are Goddess Sri Chamunda who
is extremely vigilant, she has vicious form in the battle field, she is the
destroyer of demons, she holds the garland made of organs on her mouth, she is decked in the garland made of skulls. Oh! Goddess Sri Kamakshi, you are Goddess Sri
Annapoorni, you are the daughter of Mount Himavan, you are the remover of
poverty of your worshipper with the abundance supply of grains. My humble salutation to Goddess Sri Varahi
who has the fierce face of wild boar, holding fierce weapons, you are the
destroyer of sorrows and grief of the suffering people.
