Goddess Sri Kamakshi, I shall earnestly pray for the lion like your lotus feet
to shred open the ignorance like an untamed elephant in me, your lotus feet are
imperceptible that dwells in the sacred Veda like the lion dwells in the woods,
sparkle from your foot nails has the resemblance to the ruffled chin hairs of lion.
Oh! Goddess Sri Kamakshi, your lotus feet are taking immense pleasure in
the dances of celestial Apsras, your foot nails are responding by releasing
abundance of glow along with the divine noises of anklets as a mark of admiration
to the dances of the female deities. Oh!
Goddess Sri Kamakshi, brilliance of your lotus feet are incomparable, sparkle
of foot nails releases cool rays that originates from the crescent moon decked
on the matted hair lock of Lord Shiva falls on your lotus feet, it denotes the
pain of separation from your consort.
Oh! Goddess Sri Kamakshi, your lotus feet are capable to provide
abundance of richness to the worshipper, it is the provider of liberation from
the cycles of birth and death and the divine sounds from your anklets decked in
your lotus feet are capable to protect the Universe, therefore the glories of
your lotus feet are indescribable. Oh!
Goddess Sri Kamakshi, consort of Lord Pasupathi, I shall earnestly pray to
place your lotus feet on my head, those feet has created permanent mark on the
river banks of river Kamba, that are venerated by the deities, Lord Brahma and
Lord Narayana, in this way they are finding eternal bliss. Oh! Goddess Sri Kamakshi, I shall earnestly
pray to protect me from the world of Samsara, and liberate me from the cycles
of birth and death. All those deities
prostrate before your lotus feet placing their crown like the brimming of bees,
your lotus feet has the radiance of Lord Agni, that would remove the darkness
of ignorance in me. Oh! Goddess Sri
Kamakshi, I shall earnestly pray to
bless me with supreme intelligence in the usage of words, your foot nails has
the supreme radiance resemblance to Lord Chandra who is the ruler of the
planets, your lotus feet has the brilliance and attractiveness superior to
lotus flowers, it has the power to eradicate the sorrows and grief of Samsara
in a moment. Oh! Goddess Sri Kamakshi, I shall earnestly pray to remove my grief and
sorrows with your glorious lotus feet/Chinthamani , the supreme radiance of your lotus feet is capable
to remove the darkness in the numerous directions and adds immense beauty, it
removes ego and pride, it destroys the untamed elephant like ignorance. Oh! Matha,
Oh! Shankaramahishi/consort of Lord Shankara, Oh! Goddess Sri Kamakshi,
your lotus feet have the resemblance to Lord Aditya, and foot
nail has the resemblance to Lord Chandra.
It has the power to provide liberty from
the cycles of birth and death, it has the resemblance to all those nine planets
and worshipped by them, it has the brilliance and compassion, acts like
preceptor, it is the provider of eternal
wisdom and proficiency in the usage of words and poetic skills, beautiful gait,
it removes the Tamasic nature of the worshipper. Oh! Goddess Sri Kamakshi, your lotus feet are
venerated by Lord Brahma and the deities therefore it performs the duty of commandant,
it controls the supreme functions of the Universe such as creation,
preservation and destruction, ultimately it is Kalpakavruksha/wish fulfilling tree that
fulfills the desires of your passionate devotees.
