I shall
earnestly pray to remove our impurities to Goddess Sri Kamakshi, who is
Kamakoti, she is ocean of mercy, she has supreme radiance of lotus
flower, she is the personification of riches and auspiciousness, she is
incomparable beauty. I shall meditate
upon Goddess Sri Kamkashi who is the provider of happiness to her worshipper,
she is the consort of Lord Shankara, dwells in the sacred land of Kanchi, she
is eulogized by Veda, and she is primordial.
Goddess sri Kamakshi who is fond of residing on the river bank of Kamba,
She is impossible to describe by Vedas, she is the ferry to cross the miseries
of ocean of Samsara, she is the fierce weapon to cut down the wood of darkness
of ignorance, she is eulogized by the intellectuals and scholars with their distinguished
hymns. I shall earnestly pray to
Goddess Sri Kamakshi to protect us from all the perils. She is the remover of all the impurities like callousness, languor etc… in her worshipper, she is the provider of intelligence and wisdom, she is the provider of opulence to the sacred land Thundeeram, she is personified as Goddess Chandi, she is most desirable to Lord Parameshwara who is decked in crescent moon on matted hair lock. Goddess Sri Kamakshi, consort of Lord Parameshwara who carries Mount Meru as bow, dwells in the sacred city of Kanchi, she is the personification of amorous sport, and even the poorer becomes the ruler of three worlds with her fleeting look. Goddess Sri Kamakshi, I shall earnestly pray to provide me supreme poetic skills and destroy my ignorance and sins. Kindly provide me with nectar like poetic skills equivalent to the powerful water current of holy river Ganga. Oh! Somabarana Mahishi, consort of Lord Parameshwara who is decked in crescent moon on matted hair locks, has made the scared land of Kanchi as her delightful residence, I shall earnestly pray to fulfill my desires, she resides in the flower garden like heart of Yogis, she is seated on the lotus flower which is the sophisticated place of origin of nectar, she is the pinnacle of Veda. Goddess Sri Kamakshi extends her lustrous presence in the sacred land of Kanchi, she is adorned in magnificent gem decorated ear stud that spread brilliant rays all over her face, she is ever youthful like fresh alluring flower bunch, she is the mother of the Universe, she has attained the Supreme Gnanamudra located in the foot of Lord Ekamranatha, she is an young ascetic. She has beautiful gait of Gajendra, she has attractive smile that put the Mandara flowers into shame, she is the personification of amorous sport with large raised bosom, she is primordial. Oh! Goddess Sri Kamakshi, consort of Lord Shiva/Thryambaka Kudumbini Goddess Sri Parvathi, is gloriously described in various holy names by the intellectuals. You are Thripurasundari/ consort of Lord Thripurari, You are Indhira/Goddess Sri Makahalakshmi, You are Kirathi/consort of Kiratha, You are Thripura Bhairavi, you are Bharathi, You are Mathangi/born in the clan of Sage Mathanga, you are Aksharamathruka, You are Mahishasuramardhini/slayer of demon Mahisha.
