I shall
meditate upon Goddess Sri Kamakshi, who
has the luster of Emerald, you are the nectar like delight to Lord
Parameshwara, you are the safe haven in the ocean of Samsara, you are the
provider of auspiciousness and pieties to the people resides on the sacred land
of Kanchi, you are superior in the clan of Mount Himvan. Oh! Goddess Sri Kamakshi, daughter of Mount
Himavan, Oh! Kambanadhi Sakhi, whoever venerates you would attain proficiency
in poetic skills and remain prominent among the poets, like Lord Surya with its
radiance obliges the Ambal flowers to shrink.
Oh! Goddess Sri Kamakshi, I shall earnestly pray to envision your
glorious form, You are the remover of darkness of ignorance, joyfully explore
on the river banks of Pampa, you are the destroyer of sins, you are decked in
crescent moon on beautiful long hair lock, you are the savior of deities,
carries five vicious weapons, you are the most beloved daughter of Mount
Himvan, you are Paradevatha/supreme Goddess.
I shall meditate Goddess Sri Kamakshi, who resides on the river banks of
Kamba, destroyer of sins, consort of Lord Chandrasekhara, decked in crescent
moon on her beautiful hair locks; therefore I will not be affected by any
impurities. Goddess Sri Kamakshi, who is
the personification of amorous sport of Lord Manmatha, her beautiful hair locks
like dark clouds releases superior fragrance, her large raised bosom has the
resemblance to Mount Meru, she has supreme radiance and she has beautiful neck
like conch. Oh! Maheshwari, I am
incapable to envision the magnificent form of you either on the lap of Lord
Maheshwara, or stream of poems of intellectuals and scholars, or in the sacred
land of Kanchi, or in the peaks of Himalaya or in sacred scriptures and Veda. Oh! Goddess Sri Kamakshi, I shall earnestly
pray to envision your magnificent form that provide eternal bliss, You have the
beautiful gait of Gajendra, you have the luster of emerald, you have attractive
large and raised bosom, you are the precious gem on the sacred land of Kanchi,
you are the pieties of Lord Maheshwara. Oh! Goddess Sri Kamakshi, consort of Lord
Parameshwara, you are the personification of amorous sport, poetic skills in
the scholars, easily attainable to Yogis, precious jewel on the river banks of
Kamba, I am unaware of your presence before my eyes. I shall meditate upon supreme Goddess Sri Kamakshi
, delight of Lord Shiva/ Kalari/slayer of Lord Yama, who is the remover of
darkness of ignorance and dwells on the sacred land of Kanchi; you have
beautiful dark eyes and have a powerful eye that has the resemblance to Lord
Agni on your forehead, you have long attractive hair locks which releases
supreme fragrance, carries the trident
as weapon. Oh! Goddess Sri Kamakshi, consort of Lord
Parameshwara who carries Mount Meru as bow, she is the personification of
wisdom and knowledge, proficiency of poetic skills in scholars, she is decked
in crescent moon on her crown, she is fond of exploring on the river banks of
Kamba, I shall earnestly pray to purify my eyes with your eternal presence.
