Sri Sitarama Sthothram by Lord Hanuman – Lyrics and meanings

My humble salutation to Lord Rama who is the ruler of the great city Ayohya, born in the illustrious clan of Raghu and Goddess Sita who is attractive young maiden from the city of Mithila was born in the clan of Vidheha.  My humble salutation to Lord Rama who is the prestigious lamp of the clan of Raghu, born in the illustrious Suryavamsha, and  Goddess Sita who is the glorious lamp of the clan of Nimi, born in the venerable Chandravamsha.  My humble salutation to Lord Rama, who is the son of illustrious Emperor Dhasharatha and well guided by the teachings of Sage Vashishta, and  Goddess Sita who is the daughter of Rajarishi Janaka who follows the teachings of Sage Shathanandha.  My humble salutation to Lord Rama, who is conceived by admirable Kaushalya, he has wide attractive eyes that has the resemblance to lotus flowers and  Goddess Sita who was initiated from the sacred Yagna arena and her beautiful eyes has the resemblance to the fully blossomed flowers of Indhivaram.  My humble salutation to Lord Rama who has the eyes like lotus flowers which has the luster moon and he has the majestic gait of an elephant, Goddess Sita who has the stunning face that has the luster of moon and she has the beautiful gait of a swan.  My humble salutation to Lord Rama who smeared in alluring aromatic sandalwood paste on his body and holds chapam/bow in his hands, Goddess Sita who is smeared in Kumkum on her bosom and holds lotus flower in her hands.  My humble salutation to Lord Rama who protects his devotees who are surrendered to him and he has the complexion of dark clouds, Goddess Sita who is the savior of her devotees and she has the complexion of precious yellow metal.  My humble salutation to Lord Rama who is seated in the majestic throne, and provides boon instantly to his devotees, Goddess Sita who is attired in magnificent garments and decorated with various precious jewels and always seeks opinion from her consort.  They are the ideal couple, who is compatible in the three worlds; I shall prostrate before them and praise their glories with utmost admiration.  The above are the glorious verses about Lord Ramachandra and Goddess Sri Janaki described by Lord Hanuman, whoever recites or listens to the above verses with utmost devotion to Lord Rama along with Goddess Sita, would remain most favorable to them and they would attain all kinds of wealth.
