Skandha continued “ Oh! Sage, There is a process which is highly confidential that can provide abundance of pieties of holy dip in the sacred river Ganga, and it should be revealed to the ardent devotees of supreme Lord Shiva, worshiper should be righteous and has faith and devotion in Lord Vishnu, has the yearning for liberation from repeated births, it is highly confidential which is capable to remove severe sins therefore it should not be revealed to anyone or in any occasion.  It is highly auspicious, fulfils all the desires of the worshiper, it gives immense pleasure to the celestial river as well as Lord Shiva too.  The thousands of glorious names of sacred river Ganga is highly propitious among hymns, it provides abundance of merits to the reader as well as listener, and it is supremely glorious to Veda and Upanishadhs.  These auspicious hymns should be recited with utmost reverence in silence, it should be recited after ablation and the worshiper should maintain purity at all times; it should not be recited loudly but should be chanted with good clarity and pronunciation.”



“I shall prostrate before Goddess Ganga, who is the symbol of Omkara, she is incomparable, she has no end, she represents the flow of nectar, she has powerful water currents, she is the safe haven for distressed people, she destroys the sorrows and grief, she is personified as Alakananda, she is elixir of nectar, she is unblemished, she is highly enthusiastic and affectionate, she is sinless, she liberates from repeated births, she is the provider of nectar, she has no specific form,  she is calm, she is lustrous, she is unconquerable, she is eternal, she fulfils all the desires of the worshiper, she provide wisdom and various Siddhis like Animadhiguna in abundance, she is vast, she is foremost Goddess, she has attractive flow with musical sounds, she is not perceivable through senses, she is sinless, she has magnificent form, she destroys the perils of worshiper, she is the daughter of Mount Himavan, she is the provider of Ashtanga Yoga Siddhi and she is imperishable.”
