|| Jai Sriman Narayana ||
The following are the conversation
between Bheeshma and Dharmaputhra Yudhishtira who is the son of Dharma and
superior among righteous.
Dharmaputhra speaks “
Pithamaha/grandfather who is highly intellectual and profound in all Sasthra. Saraswathi Sthavam was composed by the great
Preceptor, it is highly propitious to read,
Saraswathi Sthavam eulogizes the
glories of Goddess Sri Saraswathi who carries divine Veena and sacred
scriptures in her hands, she rides on her celestial vehicle Swan, she is the
provider of knowledge and wisdom to her devotees. The twelve sacred names of Goddess Sri
Saraswathi are as follows, firstly Bharathi, secondly Saraswathi, thirdly Sharadhadevi,
fourthly Hamsavahini/who rides on celestial vehicle swan, fifthly
Jagathikhyatha/who is well famous in the Universe, sixthly Vaneeshwari/who is
the symbol of Music, seventhly Kaumari/who is young maiden, eighthly
Bhramacharini/who undertakes severe austerities, ninthly Buddhidhathri/who is
the provider of wisdom and knowledge, tenthly Varadhayini/who is the provider
of various boons, eleventh is Kshudhraganda and twelfth is Bhuvaneshwari/who is
the Goddess of the Universe. The above
are the twelve sacred names of Goddess Bhrami who is the female force of Lord
Bhrama, whoever reads or listens to these glorious verses during the hours of
dawn, noon and dusk would be blessed with all kinds of supernatural powers,
Goddess Saraswathi will be highly pleased and permanently resides as
Bhramaroopa Saraswathi on the tip of the tongue of the worshiper. Goddess Saraswathi will be pleased to hear
the above sacred names and the worshiper can envision the magnificent form of
Devi with the brilliance of billions of Adithyas.”
Lord Bhrihaspathi speaks “ Whoever eulogize the glories of Goddess
Varada who is the provider various boons, intelligence and supernatural powers, whoever recites or listens to the sacred
hymns with utmost faith and devotion would attain refined knowledge and wisdom,
all the wickedness will be destroyed, worshiper would be blessed with refined
knowledge which is highly difficult to obtain, it is doubtless that Goddess Mahamaya would be
highly pleased and blesses the worshiper with her eternal presence on their
throat.”
