Neelanjana Samabhasam Raviputhram Yamagrajam | Cchaya Marthanda Sambhootham Tham Namami Shanaishcharam ||




 I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shanaishchara who is the son of Lord Surya and younger brother to Lord Yama, I shall prostrate before Lord Shanaishchara who was born to  Devi Cchaya and Lord Marthanda, and has the luster of lightning.



I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shanaishchara who crushes the proud of deities as well as Dhanavas, he is eulogized by Rishis and sages on daily basis, he represents Dhvadhasha and dwells in the Dhvadhasha, he is the son of Dhvadhashathman/Surya, he symbolizes Dhvadhashanama, and he dwells as Dhvitheeya and he is the son of Dhvadhasha Arkka/Surya, he is worshiped by deities and preceptor of deities, he dwells in the intellect of preceptor of deities, he is worshiped by Dhamayanthi/wife of Emperor Nala, he represents Dhvadhasha, he eradicates famine and nightmares, it is difficult to propitiate him and it is difficult to approach him, he has provided abundance of boons to Dhamayanthi, he is not approachable for the wicked people, he eradicates people who follow immoral deeds, he destroys the sins of the worshiper, he is intolerable, he destroys all the sins, perils and sorrows, he punishes the wicked people and afflict with  sorrows and grief, he destroys the miseries and grief of the righteous people, he spread happiness, he is omniscient, he has lustrous face, he is the provider of auspiciousness to Dhamayanthi, he thoroughly examine injustice and unfairness, he caused  annihilation of Dhaithyamandala, he highly pleased to provide charity  to Bhramin and he has high reverence to Bhramin, he eradicates all kinds of worldly bondage of Bhramin, he is worshiped by Dhvijaraja/moon, he is pleased to provide abundance of charities to Bhramin, he is beloved of Dhvijaraja/moon, he symbolize piousness, he is pleased to witness people who observe righteousness, he fulfils all the desires of Dhvijaraja, he represent piousness, he is superior among the righteous, he causes blame/disease and he is unbearable too, he is worshiped by Lord of Lords, he is worshiped by deities and Lord Indhra, he is beloved of Devaraja/Lord Indhra and he provides various boons desired, he is worshiped by deities, he is divine personified as Devashikhamani/jewel worn on the head of deities, he takes immense pleasure in the eulogize of deities, he is the spiritual leader/Devadeshika and most eminent.
