I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Mahadeva who is personified as Mahakala, he creates sheer astonishment, he has the luster of moon, he is attired in the skin of animals, he is primeval, he represents sacred syllables, he is Chyavanesha who causes the functions of the Universe and its living beings, he is delightful and has pleasing nature, he bestow Lord Chandra and Lord Adithya, he is beloved of  Chandhrabhaga, he is Chanda/fierce, he is embellished with Chamara and Chathra/umbrella, he symbolizes fortune, he bestow Chandra, he is  Lord of the Universe, he embodied as soul in living beings, he is the Lord of Universe who is unconquerable, he is adorned Jahnavi on his matted hair locks, he is the source of Universe, he is omnipresent, he is the Lord of living beings, he dwells as Jeeva in living beings, he is the source of Athman, he provides victory in all endeavors, he provides livelihood,  he dwells in living beings, he purifies the Universe, he is worshiped by the whole Universe, he is decked in matted hair locks, he is Jadajoodi, he is Jadila who has assumed the form of sacred water, he is the slayer of Jalandhara, he is Jagathpathi, he is the protector of Universe, he is the source of wealth of the Universe, he is Jadeshvara who have attractive matted hair locks, he is Jaleshvara/Lord of sacred waters as well, he represents ruins and causes for the same, he represents the sacred syllables of  ‘Ja’ , ‘Da’and ‘Ta’, he is beloved of distressed  people, he carries Damaru and fond of the pulsating noises of Damaru, he is wielded in Dana, he carries Damaru in hand, he is Damakeshvara, he is Dundeshvara, he carries Dakka and beloved of the vibrating sounds of Dakka, he represents the sacred syllable ‘Na’, he symbolizes ‘Nakararoopa’ and he is mysterious, he represents Thanthric rites, he is Thrayambaka who has three eyes, he is Thanthri/strings, he represents melodious Thumburu/musical instrument with strings, he is beloved of sacred leaves of Tulsi.
