Sri Adhya Sthothram – Sri Bhramayamala Thanthram – Lyrics and meanings

Lord Bhrama speaks “ Oh! Vathsa/son, carefully listen to the highly propitious hymns praising the splendor of Sri Adhya, whoever recites these sacred verse with intense devotion would become beloved of Lord Vishnu, worshiper would be freed from the fear of death and illnesses in the Kali era, childless couple who recites or listens to these verse for three fortnight would obtain virtuous offspring, worshiper who listens to these verse from a Bhramin for two months, would attain Mukthi, pregnant women who is destined to give still birth would give birth to healthy child, worshiper will not face any perils while travelling on the ferry, warrior attain victory in the battlefield, worshiper who keeps these sacred hymns in writing and install in their home will not face any troubles from fire of thieves, recitation of these sacred hymns would bring Kingdom and it will please all the deities, I shall meditate upon Bhramani who resides in Bhramaloka, Sarvamangala in the abode of  Vaikundam, Indhrani in the abode of Amaravathi, Ambika in the abode of Varuna, Kalaroopa in the abode of Yama, Shubha in the abode of Lord Kubera, Mahanandha in the abode of Agni, Mrigavahini in Vayavya, Rakthadhantha in Nairuthi, Shooladharini in Eshanyam, Vaishnaviroopa in Pathala Loka, Devamohini in Simhala, Surasa in  Manidhvipam, Bhadhrakalika in Lanka, Rameshvari in Sethubandham, Vimala in the abode of Purushoththama, Viraja in the city of Aundradhesham, Kamakhya in Neelaparvatham, Kalika in Vangadhesham, Maheshvari in Ayodhya, Annapoornna in Varanasi, Gayeshvari in Gayakshethram, Bhadhrakali in Kurukshethra, Kathyayani in Vraja, Mahamaya in Dwaraka, Maheshvari in Mathura, she represents hunger in living beings, she represents tide in ocean, Shuklapaksha, Krishnapaksha and Ekadhashi, she is personified as daughter of Dhakshaprajapathi, she destroyed the grand Yajja of Dhakshaprajapathi, she is personified as Janaki for Rama, she causes  annihilation of Ravana, she destroyed the demons Chanda, Munda, Rakthabeeja, Nishumbha, Shumbha, and  Madhukaitabha, she provides intense devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Vishnu, she is Durga who provides abundance of happiness, and Moksha as well, these are sacred hymns praising the splendor of Sri Adhya is highly auspicious and it should be recited on daily basis, it eradicates all kinds of fever and critical illnesses, it also provides pieties of dip in the crores of sacred rivers, Oh! Jaya kindly protect me in forefront, Oh! Vijaya kindly protect me on the back, Oh! Narayani kindly protect me from the upper areas and Oh! Simhavahini kindly protect all my limbs. She is Shivadhoothi who assigned Lord Shiva as her emissary; she is Ugrachanda who destroyed the demon Chandasura, Oh! Parameshvari kindly protect each and every limbs of us, she is Vishalakshi who have wide beautiful eyes, she is Mahamaya who is a great illusionist, she is Kaumari who is youthful, she is the consort of Lord Shiva, she is wielded in Chakra, she provides victory to worshiper, she is fond of battlefield and she gets exhilarated in the battlefields, she is Durga, she is victorious, she is Kali, Bhadhrakali and Maheshvari as well, she is embodied as Narasimhi/half lion and half woman, Varahi/boar faced, she provides all kinds of supernatural powers and well being to worshiper, she has dreadful appearance that induce fear, she is Maharaudhri who eradicates extreme fears and anxieties of the worshiper.”
