I shall
meditate upon Lord Surya during the early hours of dawn, he is Savithre who has
great effulgence, he is splendorous and he resides in the Suryamandala, he is
the essence of Veda, his circular form
represents Rig Veda, his attractive limbs represents Yajur Veda and the powerful rays represents Sama Veda, he
illuminates the whole Universe with his brilliance, he represents trinities/Lord Bhrama, Hara/Lord
Shiva, Kamalathmaka/Lord Vishnu, he is perceivable through senses, he is beyond
human intellect/incomprehensible as well,
I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Surya, who is
benevolent/energetic, I shall worship supreme Lord Surya with the recitation of
sacred hymns and contemplating upon him, he is worshiped by Lord Bhrama, Lord
Indhra and all the deities, he is the source of rain, he is the protector of
three worlds, he symbolizes Thrigunas such as Swathik, Rajas and Tamasic, I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Surya, he
has supreme radiance and has infinite power, he eradicates all the sins of the
worshiper, he removes fears from the enemies and critical illnesses of the
worshiper, he is supreme Lord, he symbolizes Kala and Kalamoorthi as well, he
is primordial deity, he liberates the soul from repeated births, Oh! Mortals,
above are the three glorious verses praising the splendor of Lord Surya, it
should be recited during the early hours of dawn, it would eradicates all the
illnesses of the worshiper and provides abundance of happiness.
