Supreme
Lord Krishna narrates to Arjjuna “ I shall prostrate before Lord Rudra who is
Bhava and Sharva as well, he is Varadha who showers abundance of boons to
worshiper, he is Pashoonampathi who is Lord of living beings, he is eternal, he
is wrathful and he has attractive matted hair locks, he is Mahadeva, who has
colossal form, he is Thryambaka who has three eyes, he is serene, he is Eshana, he destroyed the Yagna of
Dhakshaprajapathi, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord who destroyed
Andhakasura, he is Kumaragura personified as Dhakshinamoothi who is youthful always, he has bluish throat, he
is the essence of Veda and Vedantha, he is wielded in powerful weapon Pinaka,
he symbolizes offerings in the fire sacrifices, he is absolute truth, he
symbolizes wealth, prosperity, power etc.. he is Vilohitha who has crimson as
well as smokey complexion, he is unconquerable, he has attractive matted hair
locks, he is wielded in trident, he has divine eyes and he is watchful, he
symbolizes fire sacrifices as well as the offerings in it, he represents
plowshare, he has three eyes, he is personified as hunter/person of low rank,
he represents God of fire, he is impenetrable, he is Ambikapathi/consort of
Ambika, he is eulogized by all the deities, he has majestic flag that has the
symbol of celestial bull, he has various forms of clean shaven head and matted
hair locks, he is Bhramacharin who follows strict austerities, he afflicts pain
on wicked, he is compassionate, he is Ajitha/unconquerable, he is absolute
Bhramam, he is embodied as Universe, he is the creator of Universe and its
living beings, he is omnipresent, I shall repeatedly prostrate before Prabhu
who is worshiped by the deities and Ganas, he is absolute Bhramam, she is
Sharva, he is Shankara who symbolizes auspiciousness, he is Shiva, I shall
prostrate before supreme Lord who is
eloquent, he is the Lord of living beings, he is approachable, he is most
desirable, he is eulogized by all the deities, I shall repeatedly prostrate
before Devadeva who is Lord of Lords, he has huge army of Bhoothagans, I shall
prostrate before Lord of the Universe,
he is Lord of warriors, I shall prostrate before Lord of Universe who is
Mahathampathi as well, he has thousands of head, thousands of powerful arms, thousands
of eyes and thousands of feet too, he is capable to accomplish impossible tasks
effortlessly, I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Rudra who has the
complexion of precious yellow metal, he is wielded in armor of precious yellow
metal, he is too compassionate to his worshiper, he is eternal, Oh! Prabho ,
kindly blesses with various boons.”
Sanjjaya
speaks “In this way supreme Lord Mahadeva was eulogized by Vasudeva, he
described the splendor of Lord Mahadeva to Arjjuna, in order to attain his
blessings and obtain Asthra and knowledge in armaments.”
