I shall
meditate upon supreme Lord Shankara who has attractive matted hair locks
decorated in serpents, he is adorned in serpents and Rudraksha on beautiful
neck, he causes mass destruction and absorbs the Universe and its living beings
at the end of Yuga, he merrily explores on the highest peak of Mount Kailash,
he guides us to cross the unfathomable ocean of wordly existence, I shall meditate upon supreme Lord
Shankara who is adorned in crescent moon
on matted hair locks, his forehead has intense luster of moon, he is adorned in
venomous serpent on neck, he is the protector of three worlds, he is decked in
garlands of skulls, he crushed the pride of Lord of death and won over Yama, he
has charming disposition, I shall
meditate upon supreme Lord Shankara whose eyes has the appearance of blazing
fire, he eradicates worldly desires and bondage of worshiper, he takes immense
pleasure in contented souls, Nagendhraja who is the daughter of Mount Himavan
on his left, he ease transmigration/departing
the soul from the world without sufferings, he has bluish throat, he is the
major cause for all the causes, I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Shankara
whose waist is adorned in serpents, he destroyed the Yagna of
Dhakshaprajapathi, he undertakes extreme sacrifices for the welfare of the
universe and its living beings, he consumed toxin poision initiated while
churning the ocean for nectar of immortality, he gracefully accepts oblation
from fire sacrifices, I shall meditate
upon supreme Lord Shankara who destroyed the demons of the cities of Thripura,
he is beloved of Goddess Girija, he is serene always, he performs various
pastimes, he has the appearance of lightning/he is adorned in crescent moon, he
is charismatic, I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Shankara who eradicates the grief
of Suras, he represents trinities, he resides in the heart of virtuous, he
eradicates all miseries and sorrows of the worshiper, he fulfills all the
desires of his passionate devotees, I shall meditate upon supreme Lord
Shankara, who is wielded in powerful weapon Pinaka, he eradicates
Ragadhvesha/impurities in the worshiper/pride, jealousy, anger, lust , greed
etc., he inspires the worshiper to follow righteous deeds, his lotus feet are
the safest heaven to the distressed people, he is worshiped by all the
deities, I shall always prostrate before
supreme Lord Shankara during the early hours of dawn and dusk, who is the Lord
of Pramathaganas, he is smeared in sacred ashes from funeral pyre, he
eradicates insurmountable illusion, he eradicates all the perils. The above are the glorious verses praising
the splendor of Lord Shankara was composed by Sri Bhramanandha, whoever reads
or listens to it with utmost faith and devotion would attain the supreme abode
of Lord Shiva.
