Sadhashiva speaks “ Oh Devi! Listen to me carefully, Sri Adhya Kalika
Ashtoththarashathanama stothram is highly propitious, whoever recites or
listens to it would attain all kinds of
super natural powers , it removes ill fortune, accidental and untimely deaths,
all the sins and perils of the worshiper,
and it provides abundance of wealth and prosperity, glorious verses
praising the splendor of Srimath Adhya Kalika was composed by Thripurari/Lord
shiva, it is highly promising hymn
composed by Sadhashiva Rishi, it has Anushtup as Chandhass, it is recited to
please Goddess Kalika, in order to attain Dharma, Arththa, Kama and
Moksha. I shall prostrate before supreme
Goddess Sri Kalika who represents the sacred syllables Hreem/ Kali, Sreem /Karali Kreem/ Kalyani, she is Kamala and Kalavathi
as well, she eradicates evil effects of Kali era, she is the consort of
Kapardheesha who has attractive matted hair locks, she symbolizes compassion
and kindness, she is benevolent, she represent fire/ she is expert in archery,
she has reddish brown complexion, she has embodied as divine cow Kapila, she
has the complexion of dark clouds, she
is the delight of Krishna, she is Kalarathri who represents darkest hours of
the night/night before the deluge as well, she symbolizes amorous sport, she
eradicates excessive lust and worldly bondage of the worshiper, she is
Kadambini, she is adorned in crescent moon, she eradicates evil effects of Kali
era, she takes immense pleasure in the veneration of girl children, she gets
pleased with the veneration and serving meals to girl chidren,
she has personified as girl
child, she resides in the wood of Kadamba and she merrily explores through the
woods of Kadamba, she is Kishori who has personified as attractive young
maiden, she has sweet and melodious voice, she takes immense pleasure in the
association of swan, she is Kadambari who takes immense joy in the consumption
of nectar, she is fond of Kuckoo, she holds Kapala and decked in garland of
skeleton, she is majestically seated on the lotus flower and she resides on the
lotus flower, she resides in the middle of cluster of lotus flowers, she takes
immense delight in veneration with the lotus flowers, she has the gait of swan,
she eradicates impotence, weakness, timidity, cowardness etc.. she symbolizes
passionate sport, she resides in Kamapeeda, she is most pleasing, she
symbolizes wishfulfilling creeper, she is adorned in marvelous ornaments, she
has most pleasing disposition and she is store house of virtues, she has stunningly attractive limbs,
she has beautiful thin waist line, she is supreme bliss, she is the source of
happiness and all kinds of siddhis, she get easily pleased with the sincere
veneration, she undertakes extreme penances and austerities, she takes immense
pleasure in smearing Kasthoori/rich fragrant substances, she is beautifully
decorated with Kasthoori /musk on the forehead, she is fond of veneration with
the rich fragrant substances and camphor, she is fond of garlands of white and
yellow flowers, she is fond of decorating with the camphor and sandalwood
paste, she takes immense pleasure in the veneration with the camphor, she is
fond of ablation with the waters of camphor, she gets pleased in eulogizing her with the sacred
hymns and Koorchabeeja, she immerses in deep meditation seated on the sacred
grass, she is noble, she is born in the illustrious clan, she is worshiped by
illustrious clan, she is the source of
welfare of the illustrious clan who sincerely follow the prescribed rites
of their clan, she is the source of welfare and happiness of the clan and she
guides them through the righteous path, she is the presiding deity of sacred
Kashi, she eradicates miseries and sorrows of the worshiper, she is inseparable
from her consort Kashishvara and she is the delight of Kashishvara, she showers abundance
of boons to worshiper, she is most desirable and lovely consort of Kashishvara,
she is adorned in marvelous anklets which produces tinkling noises, she is
adorned in splendid ornaments of precious yellow metal resembles to Kanchanadhri,
she has the complexion of precious yellow metal, she has the resemblance to
full moon in the Kanchanadhri, she is the source of virtuous progeny, she eradicates
wickedness and deceitfulness, she is most pleasing and she eradicates excessive
desires in worshiper, she is the protector of the illustrious clan, she
symbolizes the sacred syllables of Kreem, Hreem, and Sreem, she eradicates all
kinds miseries, accidental and unexpected deaths, worship of Goddess Sri Adhya
Kalika who symbolizes the sacred syllable of Kakara should be performed in a prescribed manner, it would provide
Manthrasiddhi, refined knowledge, and intellect, to the worshiper through the
preceptor with the grace of Goddess Kalika, worshiper would be blessed with
abundance of wealth, permanent fame, compassion, kindness, virtuous offspring
and grandchildren, happiness etc.. whoever worship Goddess Kalika who is Thrihuvaneshvari
on Bhaumavasya/Tuesdays during the hours of dusk would attain all kinds of
auspiciousness in the three worlds, worshiper would remain Vakpathi/highly
eloquent, Dhanapathi/wealthiest, and also achieve immense strength, courage and
effulgence, whoever worship Goddess Adhya Kali with intense faith and devotion,
would attain all that desired, worshiper
would remain protected from battle fields, kings palace, conflicts, life
threatening incidents, wild animals, dense wood, home and all kinds of fears,
infections/fever, incurable illnesses, epidemics, nightmares, and illnesses
caused by climatic changes, worshiper would be freed from all kinds of sins,
unknown fears, fears of illnesses, and
remain successful in all endeavour, worshiper would remain proficient in all
shasthras, enriched with abundance of wealth, fame and prosperity, Goddess Vani
would remain in his words always, Goddess Kamala would bless the worshiper with
her eternal presence in their homes, whoever reads or listen to the glorious verses
of Ashtoththara for hundreds of times and worship Goddess Adhya Kali would
attain all kinds of supernatural powers/Animadhi Ashtasiddhis, worshiper would
get fulfilled all that desired, it will eradicate all the sins of the worshiper
and ultimately provide Bhramasayujyam/nearness to absolute Bhramam. ”
