Shesha speaks “ The propitious hymns praising the splendor of
Lord Krishna known as Sri Krishna Ashtoththarashathanama Sthothram was composed
by Shesha Rishi, it has Anushtup as Chandhas, and it is recited to please Lord
Krishna. I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Krishna who is Lord of
Kamala, he is Vasudeva who is the protector of Universe and its living beings, he is primordial, he has personified as
dearest son of Vasudeva, he symbolizes
piousness and he has personified on Earth in order to perform various
passionate sports, he is adorned in Srivathsam and Kausthubham, he is Hari who
has personified as dearest child of Devi Yasodha, he has four powerful arms
wielded in vicious weapons like Shakha, Chakra, Gadha and lotus flower in one
hand, he is darling child of Devi Devaki, he is Lord of Goddess Sri
Mahalakshmi, he is beloved son of Nandagopa, he crushed the pride and brough
sudden pause to the water current of sacred river Yamuna, he is beloved brother
to Balabadhra, he is the slayer of demon Poothana, and Shakatasura, he is
wielded in Shodashathra/16 Asthras, he has colossal form with thousands of
hands, faces, and legs, he has most charming appearance with beautiful three
curves on the body, he is Govinda who is the Lord of cows and cowherds, he has
pleasing and nectar like disposition, he is the protector of cowherds and he
merrily undertakes expedition through the dense wood with them, he is the
slayer of demons Dhenukasura, Thrinikritha, Thrinavarththa, and Yamalarjjuna,
he is formidable to wicked, he has the luster of blue of Thamala, he is the Lord of Gopa and Gopis, he
is supreme ascetic who has the radiance of millions of Adithya, he is Ilapathi/Lord
of Earth, Paramjyothi/supreme radiance, he represents Devendhra , he is the protector
of Yadhu clan, he is adorned in Vanamala/flower garlands made of flowers from
wood, he is attired in majestic silk yellow garment, he has pilfered the
flowers of Parijatha, he elevated mount Govardhana with his little finger, he
is Gopala who is the protector of all, he has no birth, he is unconquerable, he is pure, he is the creator
of of Lord Kamadeva, his eyes has the
resemblance to lotus flower petals, he is the Lord of Mathura, he is the
commander of Dhvaraka, he is mighty Lord, he takes immense delight in exploring
through the woods of Vrindavan, he is adorned in garlands of Thulsi, he has
obtained Symanthakamani, he has personified as Naranarayana, he has dark cloud
complexion, he is Paramapurusha/supreme soul who is a great illusionist, he
crushed the pride of wrestlers Mushtikasura, and Chanoora and won over them, he
eradicates repeated births of worshiper, he destroyed Kamsa and Mura, he is
primeval, he is supreme ascetic who strictly follows chastity, he eradicates
miseries and sorrows of the worshiper, he beheaded Shishupala, he destroyed the clan of Dhuryodhana, he showered abundance of
boons to Vidhura and Akroora and revealed his marvelous Vishvaroopa, he
sincerely follows vows, he is the consort of Goddess Sathyabhama, he symbolizes
triumph, he is elder brother to Subhadhra, he is supreme Lord Vishnu who has
provided liberation to
Bheeshmapithamaha, he is Universal preceptor, he is the Lord of Universe
and its living beings, he is extremely proficient in playing melodious music on
flute, he destroyed Vrishabhasura and Banasura, he honored Yudhishtira, he is
adorned in feathers of peacock, he is Parthasarathi who revealed the nectar
like Bhagavath Gita to the world, his lotus feet took immense pleasure in
dancing on the jeweled hood of serpent Kaliya, he is Dhamodhara, he receives
oblation from fire sacrifices, he is the destroyer of wicked and mighty
Dhanavendhras, he is Narayana who is Parambhrama, he reclines on the bed of
serpent Anantha in the milky ocean, he performed amorous sport with the young
maiden of cowherds and pilfered their clothes while they were having water
sport on the sacred Yamuna, he is extremely compassionate,he is eulogized by
Veda and Vedantha, he symbolizes sacred hymns and sacred rivers, he is
Parathpara who is beyond human intellect, he represents planets.”

Krishna who introduced nectar like Bhagavath Gita to the world, it should be
recited with intense devotion and faith, it is one of the favorite hymns of
Krishna, it comprises various sacred names of Krishna which is capable to
provide supreme bliss was composed by
me, it would eradicate all the miseries and grief, it provides long life and
happiness, it provides abundance of merit of charities and holy dip in
sacred rivers, it provides virtuous offspring and grandchildren, it guides us
through the righteous path, it provides abundance of wealth to penniless,
success to the ill-fated, it provides good health to children and prosperity to
the sacred land Gokulam, it eradicates sufferings from various infectious
diseases caused by the changes in planetary positions and wind, it fulfills all
the desires of the worshiper and it would eradicates all the accumulated sins
of the worshiper for the past millions of births, remembrance of Lord Krishna
would eradicate the extreme fears and anxieties, I shall repeatedly prostrate
before Lord Krishna who has personified as Yadhavendhra, he is greatest Yogin
who imparts the knowledge of Bhramam, he is the Lord of Goddess Rukmini, he is
eulogized by Veda and Vedhantha, whoever
reads or listens to it on regular basis would attain all kinds of
auspiciousness with the grace of Lord Krishna, and the worshiper would remain
respectable and beloved of all, worshiper would be blessed with virtuous
offspring, grand children, happiness, abundance of wealth and prosperity,
ultimately attain the nearness to Lord Krishna.”
