Vakaradhi Sri Vamanashtoththarashathanama Sthothram - Lyrics and meanings

 I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Vishnu who has personified as Vamana/dwarf, he has eyes resembles to louts flower petals, he is golden color complexsioned, he is Vasudeva who is eloquent, he has the appearance of Valakhilya who has the appearance of dwarf and has supreme ascetics, he symbolizes boon, he has profound knowledge in Veda, he has the brilliance of lightning, he undertake extreme austerities, he holds Danda, he symbolizes fire and sun, he is lustrous like clouds, he holds water in  Kamandalu and white umbrella, he is adorned in sacred thread across the chest, he is dressed in loin cloth, adorned in girdle around waist, he holds crystal beads, he is most desirable, he holds Kushagrass, he is smread in sacred ashes on the forehead, he holds pot of alms on the armpit, his face has the luster of lotus flower, he has most attractive appearance, his lotus feet are venerated by learned, he has beautiful smile on face resembles to lustrous moon, he has pleasant disposition,  he symbolizes supreme intellect, and wealth, he is most respectable, he represents spring season, and fire, he has pure limbs, he has supreme effulgence, he is scholarly, he is the essence of Veda, he is surrounded by wise, intellectuals, and people with highly scholastic skills, he is the purifier of wicked, dissolute, and abandoned people, he is beyond description, he is amiable, he resembles to auspicious Mandhara to his staunch devotees, he is adorned in the symbols of devotees of Lord Vishnu, he is inseparable from his consort, he is highly intelligent, his lotus eyes has the radiance of Bhaskara, he has Varijasana,  and Gaureesha as companions, he is beloved of Vasava, he sanctified  with his presence in the arena where the fire sacrifice was held in the kingdom of Bali and requested Bali for three strides of land as alms, Bali/Vairochani/son of Virochana who has great fame shone as moon in the ocean, Bali has great prowess and he is enemy of deities, Bali has attained the might of Indhra as a boon from Bhrama,  Lord Vishnu personified as Vamana, a Bhramacharin and tricked Vairochani/Bali who washed the crimson colored feet of Vamana with his lotus like hand, Bali offered reverential greetings  to Vamana with folded hands, Vamana was reverentially greeted by Vindhyavali,  wife of Virochani/Bali, without any hesitation or distress Vairochani fulfilled his promise to Vamana, even though Shukracharya who was the sacrificial priest was interviened,  Vamana had accomplished his task by measuring the whole Universe in three strides, Vairochani’s great fortune has turned out grief for him, Bali’s promise to Vamana was followed with the divine sounds of Dhundhubi, all the deities were delighted and Vairochani’s piousness has multiplied in abundance, Shukracharya who is the preceptor of Bali was alarmed at the sight of most desirable form of Vamana, he has embodied as Universe, he is extremely valorous, he causes deluge at the end of Yuga, he takes immense pleasure in the association of wise, learned and intellectuals, he is omnipresent, his divine lotus feet is extended all over the Universe,  one of the lotus feet was stretched up to heaven was washed by Lord Bhrama with the sacred water of Ganga, he is wielded in weapons and one hand in Varadha hastha posture, he is most venerable, he is adorned in various precious ornaments, he was surrounded by Vikshvasena and demigods, he has most charming lotus like face, he is the protector of Universe, he repreents Dikpalakas, he is wise and  has great fame, he is a great illusionist, he is Lord of Virochana, he represents Vahni, he is highly confidential/beyond human intellect, he is the source of Universe, he reclines in the ocean, he has rain clouds like beautiful curly  hair locks, he holds Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi/Indhira on chest, his nose represents air, his throat represents Veda, his speech represents Chandhass, intellect as fate of living beings, he reclines on the abode of Varuna, he represents living and non-living things, he is the soul of wise, intellectuals, Rishis and Sages, he is eulogized by Bhrama, Rudra, and deities,  he is the provider of happiness to the son of Virochana, he is surrounded by multitude of deities, he has ocean like majestic mind, he was eulogized by father of Virochana/Prahladha, he is fond of serenity and virtue, he has offered Bali/Virochani as alms to Vindhyavali and showered abundance of boons, Lord Indhra regained celestial abode heaven, Virochani attained nether world as abode, Vasava attained all the wealth and glories, Vairochani attained great admiration and respect, he is supreme preceptor who is shelter place and removes all the impurities of people who are surrendered at his lotus feet, Oh! Vakpathi, who reclines in the abode of ocean, kindly bless us with wisdom and knowledge as ornament.
