Sri Bhairava Thandavasthothram – Lyrics and meanings

I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Mahesha who has personified as Bhoothesha/Lord of spirit, he is chanda/passionate, and zealous, he is Prathichanda/Bhairava who symbolize fierceness, and wrath, he is the destroyer of wicked enemies, he is the provider of happiness and welfare, he has personified as Bhairava to  ensures prevalence of peace and happiness  on the Earth, he blissfully performs dance, he produces deafening noises of Damaru, and Shankha, he is adorned in garlands, he has pleasing smile, he is the protector of world and bestows boons on  ardent devotees, I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Mahesha who has personified as Bhoothesha, he is adorned in vermilion, he is extremely skilled in battle fields, he destroys the wicked people, he symbolizes wealth and auspiciousness, he is adorned in bell decorated ornaments that produces tittering noises, he is the purifier of three worlds, he holds skull, he symbolizes piousness, he is extremely compassionate, he is Lord of Lords, he has heavy matted hair locks loosened which is extended all over the directions, he eradicates sins of the worshiper, I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Mahesha who has personified as Bhoothesha, he eradicates the evil effects of Kali era, he crushed the pride of Kamadeva, he eradicates lust and desires, he is adorned in serpents as ornaments, he has the speed of wind, he eradicates impurities, he is surrounded by illustrious Rishis and Sages, he takes immense pleasure in the consumption of nectar, he is pure, his matted locks are tightly secured is adorned  in white flowers, he blissfully performs cosmic dance, he has clean sheaven head, I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Mahesha who has personified as Bhoothesha, he is  fortunate child of Goddess Kali who has large and high raised bosom, he is easily attainable, he is wielded in Khadga, he is surrounded by spirits, he has softness and dexterity in speech, he is most promising to his passionate devotees, he symbolizes accomplishment in tasks, he is unblemished, he eradicates miseries and perils of deities, he is the source of happiness and welfare, I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Mahesha who has personified as Bhoothesha, he has the luster of moon, he resides in the hearts of pious, virtuous and righteous people, he imparts supreme wisdom and knowledge, he is eminent, he is the source of welfare to the Universe, he eradicates miseries and sorrows, he is the purifier of the world, he is the source of nourishment and prosperity, he showers abundance of boons, he is the safest heaven to worshiper who are surrendered at his lotus feet, he produces boisterous voices, he is fierce, he symbolizes contentment, and  satisfaction, I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Mahesha who has personified as Bhoothesha, he is wielded in various weapons, he merrily explores through the deserted lands and woods, he eradicates impurities, he is the protector of people who are surrendered at his lotus feet, he holds antelope, he represents Yuga/time, he is contented, he is adorned in magnificent anklets, his eyes are adorned in kajol, he is eulogized by virtuous, he eradicates miseries and sorrows, I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Mahesha who has personified as Bhoothesha, he symbolizes honesty and uprightness, he is the provider of happiness and auspiciousness to the Universe, he symbolizes supreme wisdom and knowledge, he is attired in crimson colored garment which spreads red ray of light, he symbolizes supreme bliss, contentment, and satisfaction, he eradicates sins and impurities, he is the provider of supreme wisdom, he has curved eye brows, he eradicates infectious diseases, he is too compassionate who merrily explores the Universe, I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Mahesha who has personified as Bhoothesha, he has won over the senses, he crushed the pride of Kamadeva, he is inseparable from beloved consort, he is surrounded by Yogis, he is Yogesha, he is supreme Lord who is highly honorable, he has glorious myths, he is Lord of distressed people, he is extremely valorous, he merrily performs cosmic dance, he is Lord of dance forms,  he is extremely valorous, I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Mahesha who has personified as Bhoothesha.
