Sri Krishna Sthothram by Lord Indhra – Sri Bhramavaivarththa Puranam - Lyrics and meanings

Lord Indhra speaks “ I shall meditate upon supreme Lord Krishna who represents sacred syllables, he is beyond human intellect, he is absolute Bhramam, he has great effulgence, he is eternal, he is beyond virtues, he has no specific form, he takes various incarnations at his own will, he is imperishable, he has no birth, he is most promising and  has assumed various beautiful forms for the  veneration and meditation purpose of his ardent devotees, he has various complexions like pure white, crimson color, yellow and golden complexion, dark cloud, etc.. according to the Yuga, pure white with great radiance represents absolute truth, he has assumed the complexion of vermilion with great radiance of Bhramam  in the Thretha Yuga, he has assumed yellow complexioned, adorned in majestic yellow garments during Dhvapara Yuga, he is Prabhu who is flawless Krishna has assumed dark cloud complexion during the Kali era, he  is most adorable, eye catching Shyama to Radharani, he has mesmerizing appearance and dressed in majestic clothes, he is beloved son of Nandagopa and source of delight of Devi Yasodha, I shall prostrate before Prabhu who has personified as delight of Devi Yasodha, he has stolen the intellect of attractive young maiden of cow herds, he is  soul of Devi Radhika, he is beyond human intellect, he plays melodious songs on the flute as a pastime and lures the heart of cows, cowherds and young maiden of cowherds, he has marvelous appearance adorned in various gem decorated ornaments, he excels the beauty of thousands and millions of Kamadeva, he is divine personiefied who symbolizes serenity, he takes immense pleasure in the amorous sport with Radharani and the young maidens of cow herd in the woods of Vrindavan, he takes immense pleasure in the  secluded woods with  the association of Sri Radharani taking shelter on her bosom  in solitude, he takes immense pleasure in the water sport with Radharani in the sacred river Yamuna, he takes pleasure in the braid of hair of Devi Radhika in the solitude of woods, he highly honored the unblemished lotus feet of Devi Radhika, he gracefully accepts the half chewed betel leaves from the mouth of Radharani, he observes  Radharani with side long glances, he was adorned in flower garlands on the chest by Radharani, he merrily explore the woods of Vrindavan with the young maiden of cowherds, leaving behind Radharani, he graciously accepted the meals prepared by the Viprapathnis/wives of Bhramins, he joyously accepted the Thalaphala/fan-palm from the children of cowherds, he pilfered the clothes of young maiden of cowherds as a part of amusement, he merrily accompanies the cows and cowherds of Vraja, he crushed the pride of serpent Kaliya with his lotus feet, he plays melodious music on flute which pulls the instant attention of cows, cowherds and young maiden of cowherds like honey bees, he sings beautifully for the children of cowherds.” 


The above are the glorious verses in praise of Lord Hari were eulogized by Lord Indhra.  Ekadhashakshara Manthra is flawless known as protective shield which was narrated by Lord Bhrama on the river banks of Pushkara, later it was retold by Sage Angirass, above are the glorious verses composed by Lord Indhra should be recited on regular basis with intense faith and devotion, worshiper would attain intense devotion at the lotus feet of Krishna and remain fortunate to serve supreme Lord, worshiper would be freed from repeated births, accidental and unexpected deaths, illnesses, distress etc… worshiper will not even dream of emissary of Yama or abode of Yama.
