Sri Mangala Chandika Sthothram – Sri Bhramavaivarththa Puranam - Lyrics and meanings

Lord Shiva speaks “ Oh! Mune, whoever reads or listens to the glorious verses praising the splendor of Goddess Mangala Chandika would be relieved from miseries and sorrows.  I shall prostrate before supreme Goddess Mangalachandika who has personified as sixteen year old beautiful young maiden, she has everlasting youth, she is flawless with attractive limbs, she is epitome of beauty, she is stunningly gorgeous with lovely limbs, she has the luster of white Champaka flowers, she has the luster of thousands and millions of moon, she is adorned in crisp crimson colored garments resembles to fire, she is adorned in various gem decorated ornaments, her attractive curly hair locks are decorated with fresh alluring flowers of Mallika, her beautiful lips has the resemblance to Bimba fruit, she has attractive line of teeth, she is pure, she has the luster of fully blossomed lotus flower in the autumn, she has pleasant disposition, she has attractive smile on face, her beautiful eyes has the resemblance to blue lotus flowers, she is the mother of Universe and its living beings, she is the provider of abundance of wealth and richness, I shall always meditate upon Goddess Mangalachandika who is the safest ferry to cross the unfathomable ocean of worldly existence.”


Lord Shiva continues “ Oh! Mangala Chandike, Oh! Jaganmatha, kindly protect us, she eradicates all the miseries and perils, she is the provider of supreme bliss and auspiciousness, Oh! Mangalachadike, you are munificent, you represent all kinds of auspiciousness, therefore you are Shubhamangalachandika, you are Sarvamangala who represents all kinds of auspiciousness and provider of the same, whoever venerate you on Tuesdays will get all their desires fulfilled, you are sincerely worshiped by King Mangala who was born in the illustrious clan of Manu, you are the source of all kinds of auspiciousness, and you are the provider of meritorious rewards to pious people, you are the source of auspiciousness to the Universe, you are the source of Moksha as well, she is the essence of auspiciousness and provider of the same for  all the righteous deeds, she is beyond deeds, she is the provider of all kinds of auspiciousness to people who sincerely worship her on every Tuesdays.”  The above are the glorious verses praising the splendor of Goddess Mangalachandika was narrated by Lord Shambhu, whoever worships Goddess Mangalachandika on regular basis on all Tuesdays  would attain the grace of Lord Shiva as well, whoever reads or listens to the above sacred verses would attain all kinds of auspiciousness.
