I shall prostrate before supreme Lord
Krishna who eradicates the miseries and perils of worldly existence, he is
worshiped by Lord Hara, he was born as beloved son of Nandhagopa, he is always
surrounded by elderly preceptors, twice born, and attendants, he imparts the
knowledge of self which is difficult to achieve, he elevated mount Govardhana with his lotus
like hand, he is well known for his virtues and asceticism, he is ocean of
virtues, he is the destroyer of enemies, he is the source of renunciation/abandonment,
he is attired in supremely gorgeous garments, he has personified as little
Krishna who took immense pleasure in the association of cows, cowherds, young
maidens of cowherds, and relatives, his lotus face is the source of welfare and
happiness, his lotus face is eulogized with the glorious pastimes of Krishna,
he has endless virtues and glorious myths, his lotus feet is worshiped by Lord
Kubera and Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi, his lotus feet are the safest asylum for
the intellectuals, wise and learned people, he symbolizes supreme intellect, he
is Vittalanatha who symbolizes four fold, he is ocean of mercy, he is store
house of virtues, he is adorned in various gem decorated ornaments on the pure
and attractive body, he is beloved son of Nandhagopa, his attractive limbs are
adorned in gem decorated ornaments, his lotus feet are worshiped by sons,
companions, and wives, his lotus feet has the purifying effect on the
intellectuals, learned, wise, distressed and desolate people, he is divine
personified on Earth for the welfare of living beings, he has great effulgence excels
the beauty of Kamadeva, he is the protector of people who are surrendered at
his lotus feet, he is most promising, pleasing, gratifying, nourishing and
cherishing, he is Ramana who has stolen the hearts of young maiden of cowherds
in the sacred land of Vraja, above are the glorious verses praising the splendor of Lord Krishna who is unblemished, his endless glorious myths
are nectar which provides immense bliss, he is highly sought after precious gem
which fulfills all the desires of the worshiper, he is Universal preceptor who
is adorned in endless virtues, he is highly admirable, he is worshiped by the
illustrious Rishis, Sages, pious and preceptors. Whoever reads or listens to the above verses
of Gokulashtakam would attain intense devotion at the lotus feet of Lord
Krishna who is Gokulesha/ Lord of Gokulam.
