I shall prostrate before the sacred river
Godavari who represents Lord Vasudeva and Lord Mahesha, she is Bhagini of
sacred river Krishnaveni, and therefore the sacred water course of Godhavari is
streaming from Krishnaveni, her sacred water courses are capable to liberate
the souls, she is Gauthami who is the daughter of Sahyadhri, she descended down from Sahyadhri hills, she is
worshiped by Suras, Devarishi Narada, and the whole Universe, her water course
are extended far across the land, her sacred waters are capable to eradicate
all the sins of the worshiper, she is worshiped by deities, illustrious Rishis
and Sages, to get rid of severest sins like
Gohathya, even the touch of the air from the water course, or consuming a drop
of her sacred water or whoever take holy dip in her sacred waters would be
elevated to higher worlds and remain in supreme bliss, mere witnessing the
sacred water course of Godavari would help us to cross the ocean of worldly
existence, she is impartial, she is capable to provide liberation from repeated
births to her worshiper, she is virtuous and her water course flows according
to the beautiful tune, she is most attractive and desirable, whoever resides on
her river bank would attain purity and knowledge of self, ultimately highest of
the piousness, she provides highest of the religious fervor to the Rishis and
Sages who resides on her sacred river bank, her greatest water course
eradicates extreme perils, sorrows and miseries of the worshiper, she is the
source of supreme wisdom and intellect of illustrious Rishis and Sages, she is
the source of righteousness, she is the purifier of souls, she eradicates
extreme grief, and anxieties, she eradicates sorrows and miseries of the
living beings, she is Ganga who eradicates extreme perils, anxieties, sins of
the worshiper, she is supreme bliss, her water course are elixir of nectar, Oh!
Devi, kindly protects us and eradicates all ours sins, Oh! Godha, you are
supreme bliss, she showers abundance of boons to deities and illustrious Rishis
and Sages who worshiped her, she is superior among the sacred rivers, she
represents Empress of the sacred rivers, Hail to you ! whoever venerates her would become supremely
intellectual, I shall repeatedly
prostrate before supreme Goddess Godavari who eradicates all the impurities,
she is the purifier of souls, she eradicates extreme sins, she provides supreme
intellect, wisdom and highest of the piousness, she eradicates anger, miseries,
distress, extreme fears and anxieties as well.
