|| Sri Thyagaraja Sharanagathi Gadhyam ||

I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Thyagaraja who is Universal monarch, he is the commander of thousands and millions of Bhramanda, he performs  cosmic dance form known as Hamsanatanam / Ajapanatanam, he is Valmikanatha who was initiated from the  mound and he has glorious form as Somaskandha  who is seated with Goddess Parvathi and Lord Balasubramanya,  he is imperishable and eternal, he is not perceivable through senses, he symbolizes Universe, and fire, he has no dualities, he is sinless, he is Lord of Goddess Ambika, he is beyond human intellect, he has no birth, he is firm, he performs miraculous tasks, he is divine personified, he is Lord of woods, he is safest heaven to worshiper, he represents Agnishtoma/sacred chants or Kalpa related to Agnishtoma, and performance of fire sacrifices in praise of Lord Agni, he is all pervading, he symbolizes infinite colors, terminology, and supreme bliss, he is wielded in weapon, he is primeval deity, he has the radiance of Adhithya, he symbolizes vital air in living beings, he has neither beginning nor end, he represents Indhra, he remains silent spectator, he is wielded in powerful arrows, he is powerful, he is facing towards North-East direction, he is Eshvara who fulfills all the desires of the worshiper, he is adorned in sacred thread across the chest, he is wrathful, he produce boisterous  and deafening voices, he is beloved consort of Goddess Uma, he represents sacred hymns and verses,  and fertile soil, he is covered in turban around the head, he strictly follows celibacy, he has manifested as upright  Linga, he is mighty Lord who is full of vigor and valor, he has embodied as sacred rivers and ponds, he has tied hair upright position, he is mighty Lord, he is powerful commander, he causes seasons, he is supreme ascetic, he symbolizes accomplishment, success, wealth, supernatural power, prosperity, good fortune, and  sacred syllables, he is the essence of Rikara, he symbolizes solitude, he is mounted on celestial elephant Airavatha, he immerses in recitation of ‘Aim’ beejakshara, he symbolizes vigor, bodily strength, vitality, energy, power, splendor, Omkara, medicinal herbs, amorous sport, knowledge in passionate sport, etc.. he is too compassionate, he witnesses the deeds of living beings, he is skillful, enlightened,  and wise, he holds Kapala, he is adorned in marvelous crown, he is the cause for Universe and its living beings, he symbolizes colossal fire that causes mass destruction at the end of Yuga,  he symbolizes all kinds of auspiciousness, and  fame, he is presiding deity of illustrious clan, he represents flame,/class of spirits, he is skillful, clear-sighted, proficient, and wise in performance of tasks, he represents action, smallest fraction of time, Yuga, Kashyapa, and  body, he is the source of birth in noble family, he has attractive matted hair locks, he is well versed, skillful, clever, and learned, he symbolize protective shield, space, and  region, flower, he is omniscient, he is youthful always, he is wielded in Khadga, he is supreme preceptor, he is adorned in sacred river Ganga on matted hair locks, he is the protector of Universe and its living beings, he is Lord of Ganas, he has the luster of camphor, he represents Gana, he resides in highest  mountain peak, he is highly confidential, he is perceivable, he has dreadful appearance, he is passionate , he witnesses all the happenings in the Universe, he has powerful four arms, he represents supreme consciousness, he is clever, he undertakes essential functions such as creation, preservation and destruction  of the Universe, he causes deluge at the end of Yuga that causes mass destruction, he is supreme ascetic, he is triumphant, he is Lord of living beings, he symbolizes fire, he is  all-possessing,  and victorious,  he represents science of astronomy and astrology as well, he has supreme brilliance, he is fond of being worshiped with the sounds of Dakka, he has the radiance of lightning, he represents Rig, Yajur, Sama Veda, he has Surya, Chandra and Agni as three eyes, he is passionate and radiant, he represents Thrivikrama who measured the  whole Universe with the three strides, he symbolizes trinities, greatest philosophies, contentment, satisfaction,  and asceticism, he is divine personified, he is Lord of directions, and region, he illuminates the whole Universe with his radiance, he symbolizes righteousness, wealth,  and intelligence, he is pure, he has personified as Nishadha/mountaineer who born in low caste,  he is incomparable, he is Narayana, he is supreme bliss, he is primeval, he symbolizes Purusha, stars and planets, he is void of impurities like ego, lust, pride, jealous and anger, he is infallible, he has bluish throat, he has blue mixed reddish-brown complexion, he merrily explores in the darkest hours of night, he removes impediments and obstacles, he symbolizes piousness, he is Paramathma who is Universal soul, he is Prajapathi who is the source of virtuous offspring, he is the source of worldly bondage, prosperity, nourishment, opulence, and wealth, he augments all kinds of auspiciousness, he is highly honorable,  and enthusiastic, he has numerous attendants, he represents Pundareekaksha, sun, pond, river,  and Earth, he has five glorious faces known as Eshanam , Thathpurusham, Aghoram, Sadhyojatham,  and Vamadevam, he is purifier of soul, his attractive face has the resemblance of lotus flower, he is pure,  and sinless, he is seated on lotus flower, he has pleasing disposition, he is wielded in powerful Pinakin, he is most promising, valorous, full of manliness and vigor, he is Lord of serpents, he is adorned in serpents as ornaments all over the body, he imparts the knowledge of athman/soul, he represents Bhrihaspathi, and  twice-born, he has tawny-brown complexion,  and clean shaven head, he is the protector of spirit, he has great splendor, he represents ether, he has lustrous limbs smeared in sacred ashes, he represents happiness, wealth and welfare, he is divine personified on Earth, he is too compassionate to worshiper, he is the source of liberation from repeated births, he is a great illusionist, he has great splendor, he has great limbs/stature, he undertakes extreme penances, he represents intellect, and spirituality, he is magnanimous, he absorbs the Universe and its living beings at the end of Yuga, he is smeared in sacred ashes from funeral pyre, he is Mukundha, he is mighty Lord, he has clean shaven head, he is supreme ascetic, he is extremely fearless, he holds baby antelope, he is Maheshvara who is  highly learned and wise, he represents sacred syllables of Makara,  and the first man born with  par excellence, he is Mahadeva, he represents chief of plunder who steal the severest sins of the worshiper, he perform splendorous cosmic dance at the end of Yuga, he symbolizes sacred chants, he undertakes vow of silence, he has pleasant voice, he crushed the pride of Yama, he has won over death, he represents Mount Meru, he is beloved consort of Mridani, he is the source of pleasure to senses, he represents Yaksha, Yogi,  and ritual practices, he accepts oblation from fire sacrifices, he is Rudra who is wrathful, he is most promising, affectionate, gracious, and takes immense pleasure in amorous sport, he represent Lord Krishna who performed passionate sport/Rasaleela, he is supreme Lord who controls mind which symbolizes chariot, he is splendid, he is fond of battle fields and war zone, he is the commander of Universe, he is the protector of Universe, he has celestial bull as vehicle, he represents the seed of Universe and its living beings, he is Viratpathi who is beyond description, he is omnipresent, he symbolizes prowess,  and supreme physician, he is remover of obstacles, he is the destroyer of sins of worshiper, he is Lord of wealth and prosperity, he has embodied as Universe, he is Varenya who is supreme bliss, he has Universe as limb, he is wielded in Vajra as weapon, he is clever, wise, far-sighted,  and  proficient, he is indescribable even for the Veda, he has great stomach, he is ultimate object, he symbolizes water and virtues, Vrishabha/celestial bull, speech, statement, pronunciation, words, and  knowledge in all fields, he is Vamadeva, he symbolizes wealth, and  Earth, he is the commander of  multitude of warrior in armor, he symbolizes Sun and Agni, tree, Vashishta,  and Vasudeva, he undertakes extreme vows and austerities, he symbolizes wealth, prosperity,  prowess,  Varuna,  Vasava,  Vyasa, Vasuki, Vainatheya,  rain,  and peace,  he is void of sorrows and grief, he has small stature, he is Shiva and Shambhu as well, he symbolizes virtues, auspiciousness, splendor, greatest philosophies, and Shuchishravas/name of Prajapathi,  he is safest heaven to worshiper who are surrendered at his lotus feet, he is Shithikanda who has bluish throat/white neck smeared in sacred ashes, his divine gaze  is capable to bring all the auspiciousness, he is most venerable with sacred hymns, he has shaven head, he is serene, he is Sharva who has great speed, he symbolizes wealth, he is Lord of dogs , He is pure, resplendent, and  clear,  he represents wealth, planet Venus,  spotlessness, he has auspicious limbs, he represents six qualities of excellence in Gnanam/wisdom, Balam/strength, Aishvaryam/auspiciousness, Veeryam/valor, Shakthi/power, and Thejas/effulgence, he has six powerful arms, he symbolizes Shadakshara/six sacred syllables, absolute truth, astronomy and astrology as well, he represents Agni in living beings, living and n0n-living things, he is absolute truth, he is flawless, he has won over senses, he is fond of being worshiped with music, he is Lord of Lords, he is forbearing, he is Sadhashiva who is supreme bliss, he is worshiped by all the deities and living beings, he is omnipresent,  he represents all the deeds, he is beloved of all, he is the ultimate shelter place for the living beings, he absorbs Universe and its living beings which causes mass destruction at the end of Yuga, he represents sacred syllables, he is independent to act according to his will, he has infinite feet and eyes, he symbolizes soul in living beings, he is mighty Lord, he represents warrior, he is the source of excellence in speech and wisdom, he is wise and learned,  he represents principal architect, he is adorned in crescent moon on matted hair locks, he symbolizes Swaha, he has pleasing disposition, he is all-pervading, he is benevolent, most promising,  auspicious , prosperous, and  powerful, he symbolizes wealth and might,  and Surya, he is Lord of robbers who steals the heart of worshiper and destroys their sins, he symbolizes all kinds of auspiciousness, he has lustrous eyes resembles to precious yellow metal, he is wise and learned, he symbolizes offerings in the fire sacrifices, he is quick in all actions, I shall repeatedly prostrate before the lotus feet of supreme Lord Thyagaraja along with Goddess Parvathi, Hail to supreme Lord Thyagaraja along with Goddess Parvathi!
