Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – The graciousness of Lord Shambhu

Chapter – 2 – Sri Vinaya Patrika – The graciousness of Lord Shambhu

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Dheenadhayalo, Oh! Shankara, you are benevolent, there is no one among the deities generous than you, and you fulfill all the desires of the worshiper. Oh! Bhagavan, you have destroyed the Kamadeva who is unconquerable, into ashes, further you have pleased with the prayers and restored his life without the body, Oh! Bhagavan, you are extremely compassionate and easily gets pleased to your devotees, why don’t you shower your compassionate grace upon me? Oh! Thripurari, The Veda eulogizes your glories, you are the source of Paramagathi, and too kind to even the Keeta, Pathanga/worms, and all lowly creatures, lives on the sacred land of Kashi and provides liberation which is extremely difficult to achieve, even for the Muniganas, Sages and Rishis who undertake crores of Yogic practices, extreme Tapasya, and meditate upon the Supreme Lord Hari. Oh! Parvathipathi, you are too kind to your worshiper, without knowing your generosity, the ignorant flee to different directions and never get satisfied.”

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “Lord Bhrama gets amazed to watch the sudden change in the destiny of the people who have taken shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Bhavanipathi, and spoke to Paramba Bhagavathi “Oh! Bhavani, your husband is so innocent, too generous in offering boons to his worshiper. He is extremely kind to even to the most undeserving people who haven’t performed any charities in their lives, which is unfavorable to Veda and scriptures. Oh! Devi, you too so innocent to take notice of it, make sure your abode does not go empty by his generosity. You have to think about your home too. Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi and Goddess Saraswathi highly praises the big-heartedness of your consort, watching the wealth and auspiciousness offered as boons to his worshiper, and they sing in praise of you too. I am seeing the Jeeva whose pre-written destiny, that does not have a single line of fortune, or possession of wealth, happiness or not deserved to achieve any, it is the utter senselessness of your husband I could witness these wicked and unfortunate Jeevas marching to the heavenly abode with the grace of your husband.  Your husband gets easily saddened to watch the grief of the Jeeva, he could not bear the sorrows of the Jeeva, hence I request you to hand over the duty of writing the destiny of the Jeeva to someone who might probably do well better than me. I am tired of watching the sheer foolishness of your husband.” Lord Mahadeva smiled in his mind, listening to the words of Lord Bhrama that was full of love, admiration, and humbleness, and Goddess Mahadevi Jagathjanani, Bhavani also smiled at Lord Bhrama. Therefore, it is most appropriate to pray to the supreme Lord Mahadeva whose sacred abode is in Kashi, he is the Lord of Ashtasidhdhis/Anima, Gharima, Mahima, Laghima, Eshithvam, Vashithvam, Laghuthvam, Prapthi, Prakamyam, are his attendants. He is too compassionate, gets easily pleased with the service of the worshiper. He cannot bear to see his devotees stood before him with folded hands, whoever stands before him with folded hands would achieve his grace immediately. Whoever worships Lord Shankara would achieve Sukha, Sampaththi, Subudhdhi, and Paramagathi easily, whoever take shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Shiva would get his grace immediately. Oh! Bhagavan, I am a pauper, kindly give me pure and intense devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Rama as alms.”
