Chapter -51 -Sri Vinaya Patrika - The practice of devotion like five year old Dhruva
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “ Dhruva who is
the son of Devi Suneethi was humiliated by his stepmother Suruchi, later he
was advised by his mother that other
than the Sharanagathi at the lotus feet of Lord Hari, there is no way out from the sufferings and the grief of worldly existence and the Veda also proclaimed the same thing. Lord
Bhrama, Lord Shiva, and the deities achieved numerous Sidhdhis by worshiping at
the lotus feet of Lord Hari. The illustrious Rishi Shukadeva, Sanakadhis who
have taken shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Hari became liberated souls exploring
the Universe, contemplating and meditating upon the Supreme Lord. Devi Mahalakshmi
who is Chanchal/flickering by nature do not live in a place for long, taken shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Hari and achieved serenity by word, deed,
and thoughts, and always engage in the sincere service at the lotus feet of Lord
Hari who is the ocean of mercy, he is Chinthamaniswaroopa to his devotees,
hence surrender at his lotus feet of Lord Hari and worship and meditate upon
him would bring all the auspiciousness to Jeeva. All those deities and Lord of
Dhaithyas are constantly bitten by the serpents of Shadguna/six types of
emotions, not free from the impurities of Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and
Mathshcharya, except the supreme Lord Hari. Oh! Puthra Druva, whatever your
stepmother Suruchi has uttered is an eternal truth. Oh! Tulsidas, whoever keeps
afar themselves from the worship of Lord Raghunath will not escape from the
Vipaththi/troubles and afflictions.”
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “Oh! The ignorant mind, listen to me carefully, no one has achieved the serenity of mind
or welfare keeping away from the worship and meditation of Lord Raghunath. Oh!
Wicked, take my words seriously, you haven’t lost anything, and do not let
yourself into deep distress, surrender at the lotus feet of supreme Lord Raghunath,
so that all your sufferings and grief of worldly existence would disappear.
Listen, the Surya and Chandra are the eyes of Lord Sri Raghunath and the Jeeva
is suffering without the grace of it, even the Surya and Chandra while performing
their duties get troubled with the Rahu and Kethu. The sacred river Ganga is
Papaharini, she is Devanadhi purifies the souls, removes the impurities of
Kama, Krodha, Lobha, Moha, Madha, and Mathshcharya in the Jeeva whoever takes
ritual bath in her waters, she has a great name in the three worlds, even though
she has separated from the lotus feet of Sri Hari and descend to Earth, she has
not stopped serving the Jeeva. It is impossible to get rid of the sufferings of
worldly existence without the meditation and contemplation upon Lord
Raghunatha. The ignorant Jeeva drenched in the material matters, wealth, money,
richness, fame, and attachment to family, children, wife, relatives and
companions drove afar from the lotus feet of Lord Hari, swollen with pride and
false perceptions undergo sufferings and miseries. Oh! Tulsidas, abandon the
interest in worldly matters, attachment to material matters and people, that
could provide constant miseries and grief, and become the servant of Lord Rama.”
