Chapter -58 -Sri Vinaya Patrika - The description of virtues and kind-heartedness
of Lord Sri Ramachandra
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Seethapathi,
your virtues, and disciplines lure the heart of the people, who don’t take
pleasure listening to your glorious myths? Who don’t get goosebumps listening
to them? Whose eyes do not get welled up with tears? Oh! Sri Ramachandra,
your parents, brothers, preceptors, attendants, ministers, and close associates
have not seen the slightest gesture of anger on your face, not even in their
dreams. Oh! Prabho, meanwhile playing childhood sports with your brothers and
children of the village, you cannot bear the disappointment on the face of your
friends, you never react to their ill behaviors or crookedness, you never
defeat them not even in the games or make them upset, always accept overthrow.
Oh! Bhagavan, Gautama Pathni Devi Ahalya got rid of the curse at the single
touch of your feet, thus she got relieved from Santhapa and Shapa and achieved
Sadhgathi, this incident did not please you at all, instead, you felt repentant
for touching the Rishi Pathni with your feet. Oh! Bhagavan, you are too humble,
have broken the illustrious Shivadhanuss in the grand assembly of Janaka, and
crushed the pride of the Kings assembled. Lord Parashurama felt annoyed about
the same and argued with you, but you did not get angry to Parashurama, asked
Lakshman to bow before Parshurama for his misdemeanor to an illustrious Sage
and you have prostrated before the feet of Parashurama. Oh! Bhagavan, King
Dhasharatha announced your coronation ceremony that was opposed by Devi
Kaikeyi further asked you to leave to the forest, eventually, Dhasharatha left the mortal coil by the grief of separation from you, even after all these you have not
expressed any displeasure to mother Kaikeyi, and sincerely followed her
instructions. Oh! Bhagavan, you have highly pleased with Vayuputhra Hanuman who
performed the task of your emissary and returned from Lanka with the
whereabouts of Devi Janaki, you were highly pleased and embraced him affectionately
saying that you have become Rini/debtor to his service. Sugrivah and
Vibheeshana had their own wishes to fulfill from your comradeship, you have
killed Bali who is an opponent of Sugrivah, and crowned him as the King of
Kishkindha. Vibheeshana took shelter at your feet when he was thrown out of
Lanka by his own elder brother Ravana, though these two had their own reasons
to be in your shelter, you have loved them dearly and protected them. Oh!
Bhagavan, you have never got tired of praising the virtues of Bharatha in a large assembly of members, your heart never gets satisfied in eulogizing him.
Oh! Bhagavan, you have showered an abundance of mercy on the people, whenever
they praise your virtues, you do not feel like noticing it or never took
pleasure or pride in it, instead gets too shy. Oh! Bhagavan, whoever taken
shelter at your lotus feet, or stand before you with folded hands, indefinitely
they would achieve your perpetual grace, you always speak highly about them and
praise them abundantly. Oh! Bhagavan, you are kind-hearted, and a storehouse of
virtues, that is pulling me towards you like a magnet. Oh! Tulasidas, you would
achieve the perpetual grace of that supreme Lord with your love and devotion at
the lotus feet of Lord Sri Ramachandra.”
