Chapter - 96 -Sri Vinaya Pathrika - Ramanama Mahima – Sharanagathi - Thrividha Thapahari
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Raghupathi,
Oh! Prabhu, I have no one protect me, I shall surrender at your lotus feet, I
have been drenched in the Ahamkara and Mamakara, impurities of Kama, Krodha,
Lobha, Moha, Madha, Mathshcharya, and I was relentlessly chasing after material
welfare and bodily pleasure due to ignorance/Mahamoha, therefore I am
shameless, and wicked, no one will protect me, I won’t get a Master who is
forgiving and kind like you. The
ignorant take shelter in various deities and perform rites to please these
deities for getting their desires fulfilled. I have already surrendered at the
lotus feet of Kosaladheesha Lord Sri Ramachandra who is the Lord of Vanaras, Hitheishi of Sugreevah and Vibheeshan, I have
no one to approach other than Rama, Oh! Prabhu, you are my Master. Oh!
Prabhu, you are the destroyer of grief and sufferings of Samsara of the Jeeva
who have taken shelter at your lotus feet, you are the provider of Bhukthi and
Mukthi to your worshiper. The recitation of your sacred name ‘Rama’ is a powerful weapon made of Vajra, capable to sieve off the sufferings of Samsara, and
vicious cycles of repeated birth. Whoever recites the Ramanama would remain
protected. Oh! Kripasagar, kindly accepts Tulsidas as your servant, I want to
sell myself free of cost to you.”
Sri Tulsidas Maharaj continues “Oh! Deva,
who is too compassionate and kind as you to the distressed Jeeva? You are the
storehouse of virtues, you are Shiromani of wise/intellectuals, you are kind to
the Sharanagatha/seeking shelter, and the protector of Ashritha/Jeeva taken
shelter, who is skillful and superior to you? You are the knower of all, you
are all-pervasive Paramathma Parambhramam resides as soul, you are the Lord of
Chara/living and Achara/non-living as well. You are the Hamsa/swan that takes
immense pleasure in the beautiful pond-like heart/Manasarovar of Lord Mahadeva.
Oh! Prabho, you have showered bountiful love on hunters, tribal people
Nishachara Kol and Bheel, Pakshiraj
Jatayu, Vanara, Rakshasa, and bear, furthermore you have made all of them as your dearest companion. Oh! Nath,
Oh! Mayapathi, you are the essence of the Universe and its living and non-living
things, you are inseparable from Mayaroopi Prapancha/Prakrithi. You are the
controller of Guna/virtues, Karma/deeds, Dhosha/sins, and Kala/time of the
Jeeva. Oh! Prabho, I am Tulsidas, do not know good or evil, but I am
yours/Jeevathma is Paramathma, kindly shower your compassionate grace upon me,
so that I would get rid of sufferings of Samsara and Thrividha Thapa.”
