Sri Vinaya Patrika – Sri Tulsidas Maharaj – Seeking pleasure in the Mithyaroopi Samsara causes grief

Chapter – 130 -Sri Vinaya Patrika  – Seeking pleasure in the Mithyaroopi Samsara is the cause of grief

Sri Tulsidas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Jeeva, there is one and only promising companion, that is Lord Sri Ramachandra, he is too kind and compassionate to Jeeva, he is most auspicious to his devotees. Oh! Ignorant, all those relationships formed in this birth were to fulfill your desires and pleasure with a selfish motive. The deities are too clever to look upon the service and nobility of his devotee and provide the fruit of it. There is no deity as kind and compassionate as Lord Raghunatha, he is the savior of distressed Jeeva who is drenched in the Ahamkara and Mamakara, Oh! Jeeva, seeking pleasure in the relationships has the same fate of 1)  the Hiran/deer that get trapped into the hunter’s net by searching pleasure in the sounds of melodious music,  2) the fireflies get attracted to the fire and get burned into ashes,  3) the love for water makes the fishes cannot live without it, 4) Chathaka birds yearn for the presence of full moon that has to undergo waning and waxing periods, it pushes the Chathaka into grief 5) The sunrises cause to bloom the lotus flowers, and the sunset causes to fade, putting them in utter despair 6) Chathaka yearningly look at the rain clouds for water droplets from Swathinakshathra, gets excited listening to the thunder with no assurance of rain, while watching the lightning they may get hurt and die. Oh! Ignorant, most of the time the relationships formed to achieve happiness become the cause for the sorrow. Oh! Jeeva, in my opinion, the love and devotion at the lotus feet of Lord Raghunatha is the only one that could provide perpetual happiness, he is too kind, pleasing, and Lord of distressed Jeeva. He gets highly pleased with the simple gestures of love and devotion, he is promising and forgiving as well. The Pakshi Jatayu and Shabari were considered as father and mother, achieved liberation with their sincere devotion to Lord Ram. He made Vanaras and bears as dearest companions, considered Guha as equivalent to Bharatha, and embraced him, he is too kind to protect and liberate even the sinners. The Veda, Scripture, intellectuals, sing in praise of nobleness of that supreme Lord Sri Ramachandra as Dheenabandhu, and Bhakthavathsala. Whoever recites the sacred name ‘Rama’ achieves the serenity of mind, and gets liberated from all the sins and Samsarachakra, even though he/she has committed mountain-sized Papa. The Kali era is full of evilness and sins, mere listening to the Papasamooha makes the Jeeva sinner, Oh! Prabho, Oh! Dheenabandhu, Oh! Raghuveer, you have made this Tulsidas as your servant and protected from the sufferings of Samsara.”
