Sri Surdas Maharaj speaks “ Oh! Mortals,
whoever attained the grace of Lord Sri Hari, with the practice of intense
devotion, faith, strict austerities, and discipline would get rid of all the
obstacles in their lives, they would remain protected and honored. Sage
Dhurvassa created Krithya to hurt King Ambareesha who have already taken
shelter at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Hari, it was the vow of the supreme Lord
Sri Hari to protect his devotees from all the perils appeared as a fierce disc that
chased Sage Dhurvass to the three worlds, finally, he returned to King
Ambareesha for forgiveness. Hiranyakashipu tortured his son Prahladha in
many ways for his faith in Lord Sri Hari. It was the firm devotion and faith
of the child devotee Prahladha which made him meet all the perils fearlessly, later
that compelled Lord Sri Hari to appear as half lion-half man from one of the
pillars in the assembly of Hiranyakashipu and ripped off the heart of the
demon. The river Yamuna was polluted by the toxic poison of the serpent Kaliya
and several lost lives, it was Lord Sri Krishnachandra restored the lives of
the cows and cowherds and crushed the pride of the serpent Kaliya. Oh! Mortals, the
supreme Lord Sri Krishnachandra is Bhakthavathsala/beloved of his devotees,
there is no deity as kind and compassionate as Lord Krishna.”
