Prapthi/The attainment of perpetual bliss
Sri Surdas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, your
splendor is beyond description, the illustrious Rishis, Sages, and Kings have
sung in praise of your glories in abundance, hence the people and their Kingdoms
flourished with richness and devotion. Their intense devotion at the lotus feet
of Lord Sri Hari chased away the thieves like the impurities of mind such as
Kama/lust, Krodha/Anger, Moha/desire, Lobha/ego, Bhaya/fear, Ahamkara/pride, jealousy, etc. and they have enriched with wisdom, knowledge. The Kings ruled their Kingdom
wisely, and the people lived in utmost bliss, they remain protected with the
grace of the Lord. The illustrious Rishis, Sages, and the Kings devoted to the
lotus feet of Lord Sri Hari remained in a state of ecstasy after consuming the
nectar-like bliss, and they had pure wisdom/Paramarththa Thaththva/absolute
truth, as their minister. The Arththa /wealth and Kama/desire stood as the doorkeeper of the King waiting for his call, and the Dharma/righteous and Moksha/renunciation
stood their heads bowed before the King. The Chithth/mind and intellect are the two
gatekeepers that stood wide-awake always, hence these four Purusharththa did not
make an attempt to get closer to them. The eight kinds of supernatural
powers/Ashtasidhdhis stood with folded hands on the gate of these illustrious Rishis,
Sages, and Kings, but the Vairagya/abandonment like the armed guard shut the doors
towards those Ashtasidhdhis. Oh! Mortal, whoever devoted at the lotus feet of
Lord Sri Hari would not get shackled by Maya/illusion or Time, hence practice
devotion and pure love at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Hari which is the ultimate
source of Bhagavathprapthi/attainment of eternal bliss.”
