Sri Surdas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Mind, the
recitation of Sri Ramanama is the single source of Mukthi/liberation from the
sufferings and grief of worldly existence and repeated births. The supreme lord
Sri Ramachandra is the protector of destitute and distressed souls, and whoever
takes shelter at the lotus feet of the Lord Sri Hari would achieve the grace of
the Lord. Oh! Mind, there is no richer or poorer in the abode of Lord Sri Hari,
there is no impartiality on the basis of clan, belief, religion, wealth, fame,
etc. everyone would be treated as equal in the supreme abode of Lord Sri Hari
who is Sharanagathavathsala/protector of the souls. Oh! Mind, the Parasmani/a
kind of precious gem that would transform the metals that get closer into
equally precious, hence whoever surrender at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Hari
would get rid of impurities of mind such as Kama/lust, Krodha/anger,
Lobha/greed, Moha/desire, Madha/arrogance, Mathshcharya/ignorance, Ahamkara,
and Mamakara, eventually, the interest in worldly matters of possession,
richness, fame, wealth, money, children, wife, companion and relatives would
disappear, therefore surrender at the lotus feet of Lord Sri Hari and get rid
of the sins accumulated in several
births.”
