Chapter – 150- Sur -Vinaya – Pathrika – Sri Ramanama symbolizes
Dharma/righteousness
Sri Surdas Maharaj speaks “ Oh! Mortals, the
two letters ‘Ra Ma’ has a great influence on the mind of the worshiper, these
two powerful letters are the seeds of Dharmaroopi Vriksha/tree of
righteousness, and the constant recitation of ‘Sri Ramanama’ would nurture the
plant to grow into a huge tree. The Rishis and Sages represent the Rajahamsa/royal
swans, with their constant meditation and contemplation, Shama, Dhama, Dhanam,
Dhyanam, Sathyam, Dhaya, Shuchi, Astheyam, Arjjavam, Ahimsa, Swadhyaya,
Bhramacharya, etc. symbolizes the two wings, they fly high with their constant
austerities and achieves the Mukthiroopi/Paramdham/supreme abode/ fruit from
the Dharmaroopi Vruksha, it removes repeated births and death as well. The
Ajjana/ignorance and arrogance hurl the Jeeva into repeated births, and the radiance
from the Surya and Chandra removes the darkness of ignorance, the Veda and
scriptures highly speak about the brilliance of the same. The Surya/sun and
Chandra/moon remove the grief of the living and non-living things, in the form
of day and night, hence these two have been highly praised in the scriptures. Oh!
Mortals, the recitation of ‘Sri Ramanama’ is the way to achieve
Bhakti/devotion/pure love and Jjana/wisdom/Paramarththa Thaththvam/absolute
truth, hence recite the ‘Sri Ramanama’ with pure love and devotion.”
