Sri Surdas Maharaj – Sri Sur – Vinaya – Pathrika – The worship of Lord Sri Hari to get rid of suffering of worldly existence and repeated births

Chapter – 252-  Sur -Vinaya – Pathrika –The worship of Lord Sri Hari to get rid of suffering of worldly existence and repeated births

Sri Surdas Maharaj speaks “Oh! Prabho, Oh! Dheenabandhu/ Lord of distressed people, Oh! Yadhavapathi/Lord of cowherds/Lord of Yadhava, how did I explain that I cannot leave your doorstep and worship other demigods to fulfill my desire? All the deities, Rishis, and Sages are meditating upon your lotus feet and prostrate before you.  Oh! Lord of Lords, All the deities are bound by Kala/Time and Karma/deeds like the Jeeva. How did I ask them to liberate me from worldly existence and repeated births? They are too aimlessly wandering in the ocean of worldly existence like any other creature, they too feel superior to one another, they are not independent, all are dependent on you, although they have the wrong perception that they are superior, they too act like the mirror image; they get pleased only with the worships and offerings, otherwise not. Oh! Lord of Lords, Oh! Sri Yadhapavapathi, all the deities get pleased if they are worshiped well like the cow let loose to graze would give a large quantity of milk. Oh! Kripanidhan, there is no deity as kind and compassionate as you, and you are the only one capable to remove the fear of worldly existence and repeated births.”
