Skandha continues “ I shall prostrate
before Goddess Ganga who appears as ultimate source for liberation of souls,
she has graceful as well unsteadily flow, she is the mother of Dhundi Vignesha, she destroys all the perils
of her worshiper, she is the most sacred river where all the final rite for the
ancestors are held for highly meritorious rewards, various sacred rivers
confluences with the supreme river Ganga, she carries out the functions of the
deities, she dwells in three worlds, she is the protector of the Universe, she
is the Goddess of water, she is worshiped by the three worlds, she eradicates
the perils of her worshiper, she enrich her worshiper with various divine
powers, she carries out the functions of creation, preservation and
destruction, she is the safest ferry to cross the ocean of Samsara, she is
venerated by whoever pass across her river banks, she is the purifier of three
worlds, she provides abundance of pieties to her worshiper, she symbolizes serenity and provides contentment
to her worshiper, she destroys the lusty desires in her worshiper, she is the
mother of all sacred rivers, she is initiated from the feet of Lord
Thrivikrama, she symbolizes
Thapa/austerities, and she undertakes severe austerities, she is the provider
of meritorious rewards for the severe austerities of her worshiper, she dwells
in three worlds, she is serene and she is the symbol of various philosophies,
she is supremely gorgeous in three worlds, she provides superior rewards as the
fruit of austerities and penance, she symbolizes wealth in the three worlds,
she is the provider of wealth and prosperity, she is supreme knowledge and
lustrous which removes the darkness of ignorance, she has supreme brilliance,
she undergoes severe penance, she dwells in the matted hair lock of Lord
Thripurari, she represents three sacred Vedas, she is delicate, she is the daughter
of Mount Himavan who was born for performance of severe austerities, she is the
safest ferry to cross the ocean of Samsara, all the rite for the ancestors are
performed in her sacred waters during the 7th lunar mansion , she renounce
and carries numerous lamp wick as a balancing act in order to eradicate the
severe sins of her worshiper, she destroys poverty, she is pleasant and divine
nature, she is the provider of Dheeksha, she is not easily attainable, her
sacred waters has the taste of sweet wine, she is witnessed with utmost eagerness, whoever
surrendered to her lotus feet would be relived from evilness and distress, unhappiness, miseries and grief with her
sacred waters.”
