Sri Vagvadhini Sharadha Manthra was
composed by Rishi Markandeshvalayana, Anushtup as its Chandass and presiding
deity is Goddess Sri Saraswathi, it is recited to please Goddess Sri
Mahasaraswathi.
Dhyanam –
I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri
Mahasaraswathi who is Parameshwari and Bhagavathi as well, she is Sharadha who is the provider of wisdom
and knowledge, she is unblemished, immersed in the meditation of Lord Bhrama,
she is primordial and omnipresent, she carries Veena, sacred scriptures on her
hands, her hands are in Abhaya hastha posture, she removes the darkness of
ignorance in her devotees, she carries crystal prayer beads on her hands, she
is seated on the lotus flower.
Lord Bhrama speaks –
“ The supreme Goddess Sri Mahasaraswathi
who represents the Beejakshara Hreem, she has the luster of moon, she is
compassionate, she is the destroyer of wickedness, she dwells in the lotus
flower and she is worshiped by the whole
Universe, she is Padma, she is worshiped by ardent devotees and she is the
provider of supreme intellect to them.
She is fond of Beejakshara ‘Aim’ , her face has the resemblance to lotus
flower, she is gorgeous, she has supreme luster, she is the storehouse of
virtues, she remains simple and emotionless as well. She is not perceivable through sense organs,
she represents supreme intellect, she represents Universe and she is all
pervading, she is worshiped by all the deities, she is innocent and
unblemished. She is pleased to listen
the Beejakshara ‘ Hreem’ , she is decked in crescent moon on her crown, she holds tender plant in her hands, she is
worshiped by all female deities, she
destroys the wickedness and provides refined knowledge to her devotees, she is
the symbol of wisdom and knowledge, Vedantha and Veda, she is the provider of
liberation from repeated births, she guides the virtuous through the path of
righteousness, she is Varada and Sharadha as well, she is decorated in fresh
alluring flower garlands. She is the
symbol of Beejakshara ‘ Dhreem’ , she is eulogized in various sacred names, she
is the cause and effect, she is worshiped by Sages and Rishis, she is beyond
description, she is the symbol of piousness, she is venerated by Lord Hari and
Lord Hara, she represents all colors, sacred hymns and philosophies, she is
venerated by Lord Madhava and Bhoodevi as well.
She represents the Beejakshara ‘Hreem, Ksheem, Dheem, Hreem’ , she is
the destroyer of miseries and grief of her devotees, she carries sacred
scriptures in her hands, she is pleasing, attractive and she is the destroyer
of ignorance, she is Bharathi worshiped by the deities, she is the symbol of Siddhi
and provider of Siddhi to her devotees.
She represents the Shakthibeejaksharam ‘Saum Saum Saum’ , her face has the luster
lotus flower, she has various incarnations and supreme brilliance, she is the
store house of virtues, she is untouched by emotions or Thrigunas, she has various forms, and she has
neither miniscule or colossal form, she is the symbol of supreme intellect and
philosophies, she is embodied as Universe and she is all pervading, she is
worshiped by the deities, she is innocent and pure. She is eulogized with the Beejakshara ‘Thvam’". Goddess Sri Mahasaraswathi is inseparable from Lord Bhrama who never leave her ardent devotees, kindly
pardon us for all those ignorance and eradicate our miseries, kindly bless us
with the knowledge in sacred Shasthra/scriptures and poetic skills.
Whoever reads or listens to the above verses
praising Goddess Sri Saraswathi on daily basis with utmost faith and devotion,
would be blessed with intellect and
skill in speech, constructions of words superior to Vachaspathi, it fulfils all
the desires of the worshiper, it
provides abundance of auspiciousness and prominence in poetic skills. Bhramachari who follows strict austerities
and reads or listens to the above glorious verses would be blessed with all
that desired and blessed with the eternal presence of Goddess Sri Saraswathi
who is attired in flawless garments and decked in various precious ornaments,
these are sacred verses praising the glories of Goddess Sri Mahasaraswathi is
composed by Lord Bhrama, it is highly auspicious whoever reads or listens on
daily basis would be blessed with long life.
