|| Jai Sriman Narayana ||
I shall prostrate before Lord Ganesha ! The sacred hymns which describes the glories
of Goddess Sri Sheethala is composed by Rishi Mahadeva, it has Anushtup as
Chandhass, presiding deity is Goddess Sri Sheethala, Goddess Sri Mahalakshmi as
Beejam, Goddess Bhavani as Shakthi, it is recited to get cured from severe
illnesses like leprosy, blister, small pox etc…
I shall prostrate before Goddess Sri
Sheethala who rides on her celestial vehicle monkey, holds winnowing fan, I
shall prostrate before Goddess Sri Sheethala who destroys all kinds of
illnesses and fears in her devotees, she destroys the fear of severe illnesses
like smallpox and blisters, I shall meditate upon Goddess Sri Sheethala who

relieved from the fear of severe illnesses instantly. Whoever stands in the water and recite the
sacred names of Goddess Sheethala would be relieved from terrible illnesses of
blisters and their home will be freed from these kinds of illnesses, she is an
life giving source for those who are afflicted with high fever, severe skin
diseases with foul smell, people who lost their eye sight, she is an
Amrithavarshini, who acts like nectar to the people who are afflicted with
severe blisters and skin diseases and incurable illnesses, people afflicted
with contagious diseases would be relieved the moment they remember Goddess Sri
Sheethala, Oh! Sheethale, you are
Dhathri/ mother to people who are afflicted with the illnesses caused by sins
that has no cure, Oh! Devi, who has the
resemblance to the stem of lotus flower, dwells in between navel and chest,
whoever meditates upon you will not face untimely death.
Whoever reads or listens to the glorious
verses of Goddess Sheethala with utmost faith and devotion would be freed from
the fear of severe illnesses like blisters, leprosy etc.. Whoever reads or
listen to the sacred verses of Goddess Sheethala with utmost faith and devotion
would be freed from seizers, misfortune, etc..
Oh! Sheethale, you are Jaganmatha/Mother of the Universe, Oh! Sheethale

its living beings and protector of the same,
