Sri Parvathi speaks “ Oh! Devadeva/ Lord
of Lords, Oh! Jagannatha/Lord of Universe, you are the provider of various
boons to your ardent devotees; kindly shower your mercy upon me, oh! Prabho, kindly
reveal the highly confidential subject that remained furtive in your heart. Oh! Devesha, kindly narrate the thousands of
sacred names of Goddess Sri Radha who personified as cowherd/Gopi, she is the
cause of the Universe and the deluge as well, her glorious sacred names are
highly propitious and remained confidential which is capable to provide intense
devotion.”
Sri Mahadeva replied “ Oh! Devi, kindly
listen to the wonderful myth which is capable to wash off all the sins and
provides abundance of auspiciousness, Oh!
Maheshwari, it provides highest of the pieties known as liberation from
repeated births, whenever Lord Hari assumes various incarnations in order to
perform the functions the Universe, she will also incarnates to be nearer to
him, in this way she has assumed the
form of cowherd/Gopi, Oh! Deveshi, kindly listen to the thousands of sacred
names of Sri Radha which I have not mentioned in the Thanthric scriptures, I
shall narrate the same out of immense love for you and for the Mumukshus who
yearn for liberation from repeated births.
Oh! Girije/daughter of Mountain, these thousands of sacred names of
Goddess Sri Radha is equivalent to my Prana/soul, kindly listen and chant on
daily basis as possible, it is recited to please supreme Lord Krishna who was born
in Goloka, he is the Lord of Goloka, he is beyond perception, these thousands
of sacred names of Goddess Sri Radha was composed by Maharishi Narada.”
