I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shanaishchara who is the son of Lord Surya and younger brother to Lord Yama, I shall prostrate before Lord Shanaishchara who was born to  Devi Cchaya and Lord Marthanda, and has the luster of lightning.



I shall prostrate before supreme Lord Shanaishchara who elevates the distressed, he eradicates all kinds of severe illnesses  and worldly bondage, he has unnatural appearance, he works for the welfare and righteousness of  distraught people, he is the provider of various boons including superiority in Kingdom, he protects from terrible consequences, he represents Yekapadha and Yekonavimshathi Masa/120, he is the provider of intense devotion, he dwells in Yekonavimshathi Varsha Dhasha, he is worshiped by Lord Chandra, he is the provider of prosperity and well being, he is worshiped by Lord Indhra and Airavatha, he is pleased to listen sacred hymns of Omkara, he is adored by the sacred hymns and Omkara, he represents the syllable of ‘Omkara Beeja’, he is magnanimous, he is the provider abundance of boons to his worshiper, he has generous virtues and disciplines, he has rich medicinal effect, he is the symbol of mercy and he is wielded in bow, he carries lotus flower in his hands, he symbolizes Time/Kala and supreme  intellect, he has the luster of dark clouds, he is decked in marvelous crown, he ensures the functioning of Karma, he is the force behind performance of Karma, he is  brother of Kala/Lord Yama, he appears as sky filled with dark clouds, he has Kaka/crow as celestial vehicle, he symbolizes Karma, he is from the clan of Kashyapa, he penetrates through the Kalachakra/movement of the wheel of Time, he is Kalaroopi/era and he symbolizes cause, he is deserved to be eulogized, he is the commander of Time, he is decked in marvelous crown which spread intense luster, he is the cause and effect, he is aware of Kala, he is decked in lotus flower garland, he has fierce teeth, he has vicious form, he represents one of the seven tongues of God of fire, he has dark complexion, he represents Kala/era, he carries out the functions of era, he represents medicinal properties, he is beloved of Krishna and cattle, he represents Rudra in the form of Kalagni/colossal fire at the end of Yuga, he was born to Surya/ son of Kashyapa, he has dark complexion, he is beloved of Lord Krishna, cows and cow’s milk.
